January 6, 200917 yr I know Brent Guy was a horrible head coach, but in a pretty helpless situation. He has a solid resume and some guys are not made to be head coaches. I like coaches on staffs that have previous head coaching experience. Slade is a good hire and known name around SEC country. I am not sure what Jay Johnson has necessarily done. ???

Is it that you feel that these are very good coaches, or the fact that UofL is replacing the current coaches at these positions?

UT usually has a good D, so that is good. But a offensive guy from USM and a LB coach from Utah State???

I, for one, would never take the Hilltoppers lightly nor laugh off their accomplishments in this state. Maybe Louisville and Kentucky could do with putting some of the outstanding home-grown players on the court that WKU seems to win with. But that's beside the point of the thread. I'm glad to see the Slade hire, but I just can't get behind the excitement of your first post, RP. I'm of the opinion that we'll be even worse next year than we were this year, despite any coaching hires we might make. Time will tell and I need to see this one out. See everyone in a few months at the spring game.
