I certainly can't think of someone else who was completely more pointless lol.

He does nothing, and I will personally be glad when hes gone. The one thing that makes me mad is when a guy is 7'0+ and plays basketball isnt dominating. If you have an athlete like this you have to work with them and mold them into a player and not waste talent!

Jared Carter wasn't good in high school... He was just head and shoulders taller than everyone he played.

I am wondering why George Jefferson voted no in this thread?

I don't care if a 7'0'' ball player isn't dominating, but it does bother when they are not even considered a factor.

Your right he wasnt that good in high school! Even been head and shoulders over everyone in the state he still couldnt cut it!

Sure wish Roy had begged him a little harder.

Not only is he a waste of a scholly but he is a waste of height too.

To be fair to the guy, he really never had the chance to develope. Sure he didn't contribute and still does not, give the guy a break.

I think Roy tricked us into wasting a scholarship on him. Everyone would have been ticked to lose an in state player to UNC.

I am amazed that he has not seem to develop as a player at all! I thought that as he got the strength early in his career, he would have unlimited potential with his length, footwork, and good hands. I am not willing to admit to being totally wrong yet, since he still has nearly three months left in his career. It looks like I will have missed on this kid.

Remember, Jared Carter chose UK over other scholarship offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Boston College, Illinois, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina.

Roy Williams isn't wrong often, but Jared Carter certainly has not been productive as a college player.

I don't really care to give him much of a break because that is a scholarship that could be used on another player that could greatly benefit this year's team.

Biggest waste, is not the best choice of terminology. He's getting an education, which is first and foremost. With that said, he's not been productive in games during his stay at UK.

Like mentioned before, his injuries have hampered his development and play. Size doesn't always equate to ability and Carter, for whatever reason just didn't develop into an SEC big man.

I'm sure he does all he can in practice, to make others around him better.

Excellent post Strike3. I can think of many other players who transferred after a year or two, and never did earn a college degree anywhere.

Rashard Carruth coming in 2nd
