Mike Scott from Greenup County IMO was the biggest waste of scholarship in the 80's.

Jared should have been a red-shirt his frosh year. If he'd packed on 20-30 pounds of muscle he may have avoided the injuries and been able to develop. Instead he was put on the back burner and left behind.

Roy would have either worked with him until he became something or run him off. Player development at UK - especially with strength training - is at least partially to blame.

If Darius Miller doesn't come around then he will be the biggest bust.

Miller has taken part in 15 games and has 10x the game of Carter. He is a Freshman and will be fine.

If not the biggest the tallest for sure!

Brandon Stockton, Josh Carrier, Shagari Alleyne.....

Shagari actually had a couple of good games, that's more than can be said for the others.

I sure hope so. He looks so unsure and slow at times. I know that he is better.... well I hope so anyway.

This kid is only a freshmen. Give him a break.

Carter makes Obrzut and Thomas look like All-SEC players.
WHAT!?!?

Do you not remember Orbzut and Thomas when they were here? They played and were decent at times. Carter just takes up a LOT of room on the bench.

I am glad that the guy is getting a free education, but there were plenty of schools he could have done that at and not wasted a scholarship for all these years.

I was going to say Shagari, who by no means dominated anybody over a period of time, had his moments. One in particular we cannot ever forget is his saving us from Bogut in 2005. I thought he was the MVP in that game.

If Darius Miller doesn't come around then he will be the biggest bust.

He's already done more with his career than the mighty Jared Carter.

If you are going to compare Carter to UK players that stayed all four years, then he has a banner alongside Bo Lanter (43 career points), Chris Gettlefinger (the human victory cigar from the 1978 team - 28 career points), and Jonathon Davis (47 career points).

Carter checks in with 36 career points.

I would venture to say that Jonathon Davis got most of his points during his last year at KY/Pitino's first year, but in all fairness to him, he went on to have a heck of a career as Korn's lead singer.

He scored 36 of his 47 during his junior year. Simply on fire....
