Where does UK go from here?

Featured Replies

Meeks is averaging 25 or so a game, I give him the free reigns to shoot when he wants. I though they worked the ball around well against the Cards. The TO part I have to agree, but they will be able to slide with that in the SEC.

Meeks may be averaging 25 points a game but his percentage of makes is under 50% while Patterson's is over 70%. Don't forget that Meeks takes about twice as many shots a game as Patterson because you can guarantee even if he is double teamed if he drives in the lane he will sling something up in the air.

They can win them all if they cut their turnovers in half. I do not see that happening, and them losing about 4 or 5 in conference.

Plus Meeks turns it over WAY too much to be a star player. He is a great shooter, and good defensively, but he showed today down the stretch that if he has the ball no one else is getting it and UL realized that and made him throw some crazy shot up or turn it over.

12-4 or 13-3 sounds about right in this SEC season.

UK will go 9-7 in the SEC at best as long as Meeks keeps being a ball hog and the cats keep committing 18+ turnovers a game.

Jodie Meeks is not a ball hog. Jodie Meeks has been asked to shoot the basketball often because he is on a team that can not score the ball from outside the paint. He is shooting nearly 50% from the field and averaging nearly 25 points per game.

Just who do you think (besides Patrick Patterson who gets his shots) should be shooting the basketball on this year's team?

UK will finish around 2nd or third in the East and lose in the 2nd or third round in the big dance...

I don't think anyone would ask Saint Jodie to shoot the ball when he is double or triple teamed like he does.

Uk will go 10-6 at best, they have only dominated much, much weaker opponents, every team that was half way decent beat them...

Did you ever think that teams would not be able to double and triple team him if some of his teammates (besides Patrick Patterson) could score the basketball?

Definitely but I would rather them take an open shot and miss it then watch him sling something up when he has a wide open teammate.

UK just has to regroup and go out and take care of business in SEC conference play.

Personally, I think Meeks should crank every time he crosses the timeline. With the state of the SEC, I would guess somewhere around 10-6, 11-5, which would make for a good year.

9 wins in the SEC would be a near disaster. 11 at the low end and 14 at the high end...
