Morehead State Needs Kentucky Players?

Featured Replies

Actually Evan signed with Radford which probably is in a better conference than the OVC. Remember Gardner-Webb and VMI?

Agreed!!!!!!!!!!

Just want to add Proffitt is gonna be an all star...

There are 3 types of people in this thread -

1 - Elliott County fans

2 - People who have never saw EC play

3 - DT haters

Here is an opinion from someone who knows and respects DT, has saw EC play, and is not from EC.

Those 3 could play in the OVC and be very good by their JR year. DT may have missed the boat.

I went to MSU and they have one fix for the low attendance, beat people other than KCU and start winning...........

:thumb: As for thr bolded you are absolutely correct. Not just at Morehead but that is true anywhere. Put a wining team/program on the floor and the attendance probems will solve themselves.

As for these Elliot Co. kids, imo they may be able t pla1y in the OVC and as you stated be productive by their Jr. year (if not before). I also stated in another post that a college coach has to recruit to his needs. Should a college coach/team be in need of big men...(popst/power fowards, etc..) it does them little good to recruit shooting or point guards.

A coaches job literally depends on W's and L's and those coaches have to bring in kids to fit whatever positions needed. That is not a slam against any one kid, just that kid may not be what he needs and another thing is they (coaches) only ave a certain amount of scholly's to give on a given year.

Good luck to the Elliot kids in getting to the next level and playing at that level should they get to. Good luck to all kids that may be able to play at the next level in obtaining that goal.:thumb:

Actually, I don't qualify as either of the three ...

I'm also not in any of the three categories listed either.:thumb:

You would have to talk to one of their parents to get 100% info but I am pretty sure both of them got ovc offers but they chose to go where they will be starters right off the bat!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know squat about Radford and their current players, except they've not been very good for a while in a low D-1 conference; but to say that Ethan will automatically be an instant starter at NKU is a bit presumptious. Not saying he's not good, but give the players there a little bit of credit?? Actually for NKU's sake I hope you're right!!

At the moment, the Sagarin Ratings have the OVC ranked 17th out of the 31 conferences in Division I ... the Big South is 25th.

Radford's Sagarin Rating would place them in the lower third of the OVC.

I should have put "more than once"...............

I've seen Elliott County play four games over the last two seasons ... one in the All A Classic in 2007 and three games in the Sweet 16 in 2007 and 2008.

You win.......

Forgive Me!!!!!!!!!! I chose the wrong word. Point to be made was they will get instant playing time, and if you "really hope for their sake" must mean they need him so why would you assume it is presumptious?:flame:

4 - Pot Stirrers

What schools?

Military Schools and Gardner-Webb.

I can also assure that all three would have gotten several more offers after their play last week at the Beach Ball Classic. Evan was voted the MOP. Previous MOP's included Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett and several other NBA all stars. Things will start to heat up with Ferguson after his performance since he is the only one that is still unsigned.
