On paper UL is the better team but they are still a work in progress. UK has been feeding on cupcakes for the past few weeks, so IMO this game is hard to gauge.

If Louisville shoots as poorly as they have been lately and Kentuckys defense is where it needs to be I can see UK pulling out a 5-10 point win. If UK won by more than 10 I would be suprised but would love it. If UL plays with passion and gets after it on both ends of the floor L-ville pulls this one out. Meeks and Patterson both need to have big games IMO.

If I were Pitino, I would do everything that I could to try and get Patterson in foul trouble. Meeks and Patterson need to have very big games in order for our Cats to even have a chance.

 

I am pretty upset that they decided to move the game back to 4:30. Now the game is at the same time as the Eagles vs. Vikings playoff game, which frustrates me a little.

UofL has shown that they are perfectly capable of getting beat by UK this season. I expect the Cards to win but wouldn't be shocked if they give another clunker performance.

 

I would love to see the Cards use this big game to turn the corner before the Big East starts, but who knows.

I know Rick will have the Cards ready after the UNLV loss. I feel if Kentucky keeps the TO's to 18 or less and handles the press, they will win. I think the Cards will be sky high, but, I will pick my Wildcats 67-65.

I really think this game is pretty simple. It all comes down to Meeks and Patterson. If those two can both have solid games (20+), I don't see UL winning. If UL can contain those two, they'll win. I just don't think UK's role players will be enough to get the W, and if it gets into whose bench is deeper, at this point I'd have to say the talent level on UL's bench is better than UK's.

 

I'll take Louisville by 9-12, but wouldn't be surprised to see it go the other way.
