December 30, 200817 yr I was saying to a friend the other day that I think Romo really misses Parcells. Tuna had a way of keeping Romo focused better. Romo was no better no worse with Parcels.
December 30, 200817 yr I personally believe there is no way that he is at all distracted by these types of things(dating women, vacations, etc.). No one can convince me that when he is out on the field playing that he is thinking throw it to T.O. at one point, and then wondering what Jessica's doing another. Now, I imagine he feels the pressure of spotlight because of expectations and where he plays, but that's a different aspect. I disagree with you here. T.O. is the unquestionable voice/leader of the Cowboys. If he is not happy, then things go south quickly. The Cowboys cater to his ego.
December 30, 200817 yr Al I know is my fantasy record is 30-14 with Romo at the helm the last 3 seasons.
December 30, 200817 yr I don't think Jessica has a thing to do with it. Media driven IMO. I do think Dallas's Oline underachieved a lot this year. That was disappointing to me. Can't tell you how sick I am of seeing Flozel jump! Im glad someone else is on Flozel. He is constantly jumping and, according to the announcers, he has a problem with outside speed rushers. If this is true, what good is he? Its no wonder Romo has happy feet in the pocket.:thumb:
December 30, 200817 yr Author In his defense I think he has a REALLY bad hearing problem like maybe deaf in one ear or something like that.
December 30, 200817 yr Some people are big game players and some are not, Romo doesn't appear to be one.
December 31, 200817 yr I'ma lifetime Dallas fan and my thoughts on him is, they will never win the superbowl with him starting. He seems more caught up in getting rewards for being the qb of Dallas and not doing what is needed to be the qb of the Dallas Cowboys. Roger, Troy and even Danny need to set him down and explain things to him. I do not think he's half as good as many think he is.
December 31, 200817 yr Author I don't think Dallas's Oline played as well as they should have. He had a lot of pressure all year long. Downplayed is T. Choice in pass pro too. That is the biggest adjustment for a RB coming out of college. The Eagles defense exposed that too! Tons of pressure, dropped balls, wrong routes.... those are things that have ZERO too do with the QB. What he has to learn to do is throw the ball away or tuck it sometimes. It's hard to tell a gun slinger to manage a game but when they figure that out they are tough to beat.
December 31, 200817 yr The biggest problem Dallas o-line has besides being overrated is they can not nor have they defended the blitz since Jimmy or maybe Barry was there.
December 31, 200817 yr I wonder if Dallas' record is any better with say a Matt Ryan this year (not yet great, but seems clutch.) Romo is a good QB but I agree with others in this thread is he great?
