Just got in from that game. Here's a few things I noticed

1. The crowd is not as bad as people make it out to be if its a close game. Once the game got out of hand the crowd was pretty quiet.

2. Slone plays with 110% effort every second he plays and the fans love it.

3. Patterson worked very hard for post position

4. BCG seemed very frustrated in the performance tonight

5. Miller seems frustrated. When he was on the bench he was always sitting and talking to one of the coaches.

6. Meeks didn't play well IMO, but still finished with 20+

7. Porter had an OK game

8. Stewart and Stevenson need to stop going for a block everytime someone shoots and block someone out.

Miller did not look like a happy camper when he was on the bench late in the game. One of the coaches was trying to talk to him but he just stared at the floor.

He probably didnt look happy because his game is not ready for primetime yet.

My thoughts:

- there's a very fine line between being a master motivator and a fool

- UK is going to be a very good team as the season progresses

- Slone is the small, non-athletic looking boy from Eastern Kentucky that every UK team needs. He is the carbon copy of the hustling, give 110% player from the mountains that knows what being a Wildcat is all about

- We all of a sudden have a little more depth than anticipated

- There's no reason why the Cats shouldn't finish first or second in the SEC

- There's no reason why this team shouldn't win 24+ games

- There's no reason why UK shouldn't beat Louisville this weekend

Go Cats!

Miller had a meltdown on the bench.

He will be OK...just being pushed like he has never been pushed before.

Victim of circumstance last night. Was told to deny a player the ball, and soon as he got in, he got lost on a curl screen, kid hits a rare shot for CMU in second half.

I still think he has the most tools of anyone on the team.

My thoughts...upon yours

-Bench time is the best motivator in hoops.

-UK will be as good as their perimeter scoring goes. They hit outside shots at a decent clip they will be good. They misfire a bunch and they will be grinding teeth.

-Slone has been put in situations where he can succeed...UK can not win big with him getting big minutes...loves his hustle but he has to make open shots. Me and you can go dive on the floor but getting stops and putting ball in hole or passing that leads to scoring ultimately counts the most.

-Not sure on depth...have yet to figure out a rotation. Not much scoring off bench.

-I see a 23-8 regular season finish.

-I am not confident at all heading to Freedom Hall. We have not seen full court pressure defense since the Vegas trip...Porter has not been pressured. We will see man and we will see zone. If we don't hit perimeter shots...we will be in big trouble.
