Do you find yourself.......

....rooting against teams and players that have posters that sway you in that direction on this site?

To be clear, I find myself rooting against teams/schools simply because of some of the attitudes of the posters on the board. I'm not trying to stir the pot here. Simply asking a question: Do certain posts or patterns of posts by members here tend to make you root against their teams/schools?

My answer is yes. And even to the degree that when I see certain posters pushing their agendas with their own kids (not hard to tell) that I even find myself rooting for their opponents. Perhaps I need therapy.

I think a little bit of that is only natural. Especially if a certain group of fans comes off as excessively arrogant.

I agree. I know there are some who root against Highlands because of our large fan base on here and all we do is win. :sssh:;)

:rolleyes::lol:

BTW...are you making the trip up here Sunday for the SC/Holmes game?

I'm sure Dakotah and Chad will be pretty disappointed if their biggest fan doesn't show up...:sssh:

All in good fun Doc...Wasn't being serious. ;)

I know I was talking to someone on the board on IM and they were telling me how much they didn't like Mason Co because how of how much attention they get on the board and in the area.

I would say Mason Co is similar to the way Ashland is in the 16th or even Paducah Tilghman in the 1st. You have so much success for such a long period of time, you are going to have your fair share of fans and fair share of people that aren't the biggest fans.

But yeah, it's always fun when a team like Dallas loses or Duke or whatever. It's all in good fun, I know I have to be able take it when my Chicago teams choke AGAIN. :lol:

I wasn't talking about any particular group. You guys must have a guilty conscience ...

No, just a good memory. :cool:

Yes. I do root against Northern Kentucky teams... Because they don't realize that they are the 2nd best Football area in the state behind Louisville... :sssh::cool:

Go Trinity. ;)

I can't say that I have a bias towards any particular team due to the posters. But I have noticed that when you respond nicely or private messege them kindly, it does seem to cut down on the negativity that they are/were using. Some will never change, but as the philosopher Forrest Gump said, "Stupid is as stupid does."
