December 8, 200817 yr The worst is when they have it as their text message tone and when your with them, the same song keeps playing over, and over, and over...
December 8, 200817 yr I hate any ring, though ring tones are especially annoying. My phone stays on silent except for the alarm and when someone calls it is on vibrate. Also when people are with me, after a few glares they usually get the point and put their phone on silent/vibrate as well.
December 8, 200817 yr Also when people are with me, after a few glares they usually get the point and put their phone on silent/vibrate as well. That would never work on me. I don't use many ring tones but if you did that to me, I'd turn my phone volume up and let it ring a little longer just for fun.
December 8, 200817 yr Goodness....When I was in the waiting room for PH's surgery a lady, who had to be in her 90's, had a ring tone that had (and I don't know the name of the song) that had "It's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes"...even though I was worried out of my mind, I cracked up....the ring tone was sooooo loud and the lady could not figure out how to turn the darn thing on. Several of us were laughing. After he call, she told us that that was HER phone and her grandchild had put the ring tone on for her. She told us that it got really wild when her phone rings in church! She said that "the preacher" told her that the church better not be getting hot that if it is, the church was going the wrong way! LOL LOL I do hate ring tones for the most part though...not all the time, just when I am very nervous waiting for new on PH and one of his surgeries.

My son put a ring tone on my new phone last year and I didn't realize until I was standing in front of my junior high 8th grade class and a song from South Park came on "Kyle's Mom is a", I tried to ignore it but one of my students said "We know that is your phone why don't you answer it". It was my son and he wanted to know where I was - I told him and told him when he came in from college we were going to have a talk. Edited December 8, 200817 yr by Watusi

December 8, 200817 yr I don't have a problem with ring tones except when someone like my buddy has it for text msgs, over and over and over on the way to the game Friday night it was the same slipknot song that up until Friday I liked, my ringtone is set for Go Cubs Go, except when a few certain ladies call, then its Queen's Fat Bottom Girls Sometimes I'll screw with mY dad and put something like Justin Timberlake's I'm bringing sexy back lol
December 8, 200817 yr I like ringtones because I set them up for everyone in my phone book. I pick a song that I think descibes them.

December 8, 200817 yr I like ringtones. The phone I have is the first one that I've had that I could put custom ringtones on, and I really like knowing who is calling me before I look at it. Plus for those who don't have a custom tone, I get to hear FSU's War Chant. The sad thing is, I can't hear the ringtones most of the time since the phone is in my pocket, and turn it on vibrate so that I can actually know when someone is calling me. So most of the time I'm in compliance with sportsfan41's crusade against all things ringtone.

December 8, 200817 yr I used to play a joke on some of my friends who are UK fans. I made a ring tone from the song "Rocky Top" and would have someone call me. I don't have to say I got some mean looks!
December 8, 200817 yr I like ring tones. With the standard ringtones everyone around is checking to see if it is their phone ringing. (Which is kinda funny)
