I don't think people realize that in order for a clipping call to be made it has to be on the numbers square in the back, clipping called too much simply because someone hits another on the side or in the corner of the back. On this particular play, he was hit on the side. But I feel this call gets abused statewide in every game.

I had a pretty good angle at this one, and as soon as i seen simpson take it, if this is the play we're talking about late, I knew that Boyle was about to get 15 yards. It was an easy call, I thought the refs did an awesome job tonight.

One more thing to add and I am out. Boyle has a A#1 football program. I was very impressed and pleased to see how their fans and team handled themselves with class even in defeat. Very classy football program you Rebels have. :ylsuper::ylsuper:

 

Funny you say this, because I came back to this thread to add the same compliment to Bell County. On the walk out of the stadium and over the pedestrian walkway over 25E, I never heard a single "in your face type" comment or impolite statement from any of the Bell fans about their win. It honestly made the loss easier to swallow and is why I am definitely pulling for Bell to win next week. :thumb:

Yes that is a clip, however, what I saw LIVE was not a clip nor was it between the shoulder blades, but we all had different angles. JMO

I've tried to stay out of the Boyle County football threads this year simply because I haven't been able to attend any games and thought it might not be right for me to say a lot. I have listened to them on the radio and to hear "big daddy' call the games is like being right there in the stands on a cold friday night.

 

I just can't let this thread go by the wayside without adding my own comments to it.

 

I have been a fan of Boyle County football for over 35 years. I have watched them win games and I have watched them not score a point. The kids that played for the Black and Gold have always handled themselves with such pride and honor and this year has been no different. I am so very proud of the kids that took to the football field this year and they have made us all understand what "Rebel" football is all about. They showed us that yes you can come back from some very difficult years and again play some very good "Rebel Football".

 

My hat is off to the coaches and to the fans of this great school. I have worn my sweatshirt that says "The Road Less Traveled" here in Indiana every game day and I am always ALWAYS proud to tell people what those words mean. I want to thank each of the coaches and players for a wonderful season and to tell them that this is one 'Rebel Fan" that will be forever grateful for such a fun season.

 

Now to Bell County........I wish Boyle would be the one coming to Papa's field this coming Saturday but they aren't. What a great season you have had and what a great game you played last night. I truly hope that you have a safe trip to Louisville and that you do your school and town proud and bring home the big trophy...you have earned it in grand fashion.

True, but you have to give credit to Bell County. Bell made the plays and Boyle didn't.

 

On a side note, I want to say that Bell County was a great host. Other than the lost they gave us, it was a very enjoyable night. First Class!

I agree with Rebel. It was First Class all the way. Both teams gave it there all last night. Bell has a very good team. You can not have 6 turnovers in a game like this and expect to win. Bell turned them into points (as a good and well coached team would do) and won the game. Boyle had a good year and hope to meet you guys again next year. Good luck in Louisville.

You must have had a bad angle because he hit him right square in the number and his head was also behind him.

Bell can pass when needed. They just haven't needed it much this year.This was probably the two best teams in 4A. Dudley is looking for #3 next week.

Your attitude is simply remarkable. I am very proud to see that even in loss that you guys can come on here and not bad mouth the teams or the officials, and give us credit in the win. We try to be hospitable on Log Mountain and for a lot of reasons I guess it is just not recoginized.

I hope that when the shoe is on the other foot that we can be as humble as you guys are, for I have truly have a newfound respect for your program and everything that surrounds it. From this point on if Bell county is not playing for the title I will be the first to say GO REBELS!!!!

I will definitely be puling for Bell County when Boyle County is not involved. While I haven't personally met anyone from the Bell County side I have "met" people from Bell County on here and I have enjoyed talking to each and every one of them. As was stated earlier, there were no crude comments from Bell County fans as we Boyle fans walked shell shocked and heart broken to our cars, and yes, that made it much easier to swallow and created even more respect for your program. I hope to see you guys again next year and beyond, but for now, for guys like Leonidas, brad_bchs, and trenches07, I hope you take care of business and bring home that title next week.
