I still cannot believe that the Boyle County QB didn't get in on that 2 point conversion, it was wide open and then it closed in fast, it looked like all he had to do was put the ball forward but he kept it under his arm.

This was the smallest Boyle County team I have seen since 1995. They played bigger than they looked though, for sure.

I'm not really a fan for either school. I guess I was cheering more for Boyle tonight but it was a great game. Everything was great from the game to the officals to the atmosphere. There was only one play I seen the refs blow all night and that was the fumble that the Bell County reciever dropped. It was a fumble because he made a football move. That call killed Boyle and Bell went on to score.

17 to 15 does that mean that that kid for Bell Co had a FG in this one. Somebody once told me he was a pretty good kicker! LOL Good Luck next week from another kicker in Owensboro!

I'll repeat my original statement-- This Bell Co. passing game is more then capable, and will surprise some people. I dont think anyone wants to force us to pass after this one. But, it was a very hard faught game, I'd like to applaud Boyle for staying it it despite the turnovers. They showed a tremendous ammount of heart tonight. It's a shame this one wasn't in Louisville..congradulations on the year for the Rebels...and onto Louisville dor the Bobcats!!!:D

Admirals, I saw more then a couple missed calls. I cant complain though. I thought the officials did a great job of letting the kids go out there and leave it on the field. IMO I thought the onside kick call was a little iffy, but again, officials were great, I dont think theres any real complaints.

One thing I noticed all night, MacShara is VERY quick. I'm glad he didnt really get the chance to break a big run on us but that kid has some speed, found himself wide open on more then a couple pass plays. All in all, very good showing by both teams tonight, and this one IMHO was every bit and more it was hyped up to be.

Besides that, I thought the clipping penalty on Boyle County was bad when they went in on the 2 yard line and the pass interference call on Boyle County, felt if anything it should've been offensive because the WR was pushing off the entire time.

 

I still think that one ball that Zachary threw is still up in the air...:lol:How did Boyle County not intercept that, there were 4 Rebels waiting on it and no one got close.

Onside kick was iffy call by the zebra's. One of the spots on 4th and 1 for Bell was very iffy for sure. But either way a wonderful game. Great job by both teams playing with pride and heart.

 

Bell's defense forced the TO's by Boyle's QB by changing the coverages and getting presure on him as well. The strip play by Hilton was a great play to force the fumble. Bell moved the ball well and bogged down 2 inside the 10 and came away with 0 points on those 2 drives. 1 was a stop by the Boyle defense and the other was the above mentioned spot. But anyway great game. I am glad Zachery showed that Bell is not just a typically slow footed mountain team that runs only. Great display of passing and catching by bobcats. Bell's Oline did a wonderful job of giving time to throw.

 

Hope to see Boyle again next year that will be great for both of us!!!

Naw the clipping call was a great call. The reciever came back on Bell's DB and killed him right in the back. The only thing that was iffy about it was the ref took to long to throw the flag. It was a great call though. I think the ref was watching what was going on near the goal line and the fumble. If bell falls on the fumble he never throws it.

One more thing to add and I am out. Boyle has a A#1 football program. I was very impressed and pleased to see how their fans and team handled themselves with class even in defeat. Very classy football program you Rebels have. :ylsuper::ylsuper:

Are you referring to the pass interference call late in the 4th quarter on 3rd or 4th down? That call was an easy one, it was plain as day watching the Bell Co. defender nail the receiver way before the ball got there.

 

I thought the stripes did a good job. Spots are always questionable, the block in the back was a good call, the onside kick hit a Bell County player in the foot and then went backwards, thus never making it the full 10 yards.

 

I'm hitting the sack. I'll be back for more tomorrow. It'll take me a day or so to get this game out of my system and move on to basketball.:madman::cry::irked::cry::sleep:
