A 10th grader?!

Does anyone have any stats for Cov Cath?

The atmosphere was great. Packed house. The Colonel Crazies were in late season form. The varsity...not so much. Cov. Cath had the lead for the first 1/2 of the first quarter. A Mason County tsunami after that. Cov. Cath was blown off the court. Congrats to the Royals.

Downing and Hamm makes this team better. Great win for the Royals.:thumb:

Until Shover comes back and he is healthy, it will be a long, long season for CovCath as none of the guards can drive nor hit the outside.

This years version of the Royals isn't nearly as good as their last year team was, but then again when you lose the players that they lost from last year team who could be, but they are a lot closer to their team of last year, than what CovCath is to theirs.

On a bright note the CovCath JV won and looked good in doing so....

Shover would not have changed the outcome. He would help, but not near enough to make this a game.

I know the Royals are going to lose their fair share of games this year because of the brutal schedule.

I can actually deal with them losing if they play their best, I will just tip my hat to the other team. Tuesday was frustrating because Highlands was a good team, but the Royals didn't play their best.

To go on the road and beat a good Cov Cath team like this is VERY impressive. A good sign considering the schedule will only get tougher.

? Good? Really?

I disagree. Shover takes care of the ball. I think CovCath is within 5 the whole game with Shover in the game handling the rock. Too many bad passes and too many turnovers. Maile cannot carry this team on his back. Can you imagine if he decided to stick with just baseball? :creepy::scared::scared::scared::creepy::creepy:

Won't disagree with you at all, but with him in the game, it isn't the blowout that it was and the score was closer, than what the game was...

No, I can't picture CCH being thaaat bad.

While we can all agree that Cov Cath will get better as the season goes on, didn't they just lose to Catholic in Lexington by only 9??

Maybe we can say that Lex Cath overlooked them, but they hung right with them. So they have to be at least pretty good and I know they will get better as time goes on.

Probably looking at Middleton not Setty. Or both. This is a tough loss for CovCath. Anytime you get a 20 pt loss dropped on you at home it is tough. They will have to overcome missing Shover and the new guys are going to have to step up and eventually represent the Colonels they are wearing across their jersey.

I believe Middleton has already signed or committed to Georgetown. It will be fun watching Setty over the next three years. I believe they now have him listed at 6'8, if he can just gain a few pounds.
