Bryan Station 86 Holmes 72

Congrats to Bryan Station. Maybe Holmes was ranked too high too early. They will be fine as the season progresses.

Holmes might be the most overhyped team in years. Eta had me convinced they could play the Tar Hells a good game.

Nice win for the Defenders!

Dont be so sure. They are the real deal and if you were at the State Tourney last year you saw the potential of Pittman, Rico, JJ and the rest of the bench. I heard they had an awful night. Eta gets a little overly exuberant at times when talking about them but there's a reason behind that. :D

Nobody will go undefeated this season.

Has anyone checked on Eta Rho?

Eta - this could be just what the doctor ordered for your favorite team...

Sing it with me.....Over (bump, bump) Rated (bump, bump). Hide the razor blades.

I know it's early, but maybe we can avoid an entire article about Holmes for a week or so.:sssh:

Holmes played 11th region Bryan Station a top twenty team in the state, not Morgan County.

Holmes better find a leader quick. Plenty of talented players, but not deep at all. I knew that Henderson's intangibles would be missed big time. Are 8th graders still eligible to play Varsity ?

:thumb: Bingo. Arrez was vital. Hopefully Holmes finds someone.

He texted me earlier the bad news. He was at the CovCath/Mason game. I think he is scripting his response and will probably have something by midnight.

Surprised a little but its understandable early in the season with kids getting the feel of playing everyday. I still think Holmes will have a good run at Rupp.

Like somebody mentioned, any loss to a 7th or 11th region team is unforseeable.

I hate how people hype up teams (and players) based on their performance the year before in the state tournament. It's the biggest stage in Kentucky sports, but it's not always the best indicator of next year's squad / success.

On a side note, nobody for Bryan Station had a bigger wingspan or higher vertical than either of the Johnson brothers. ;)

It's early.:bunny:

I heard Station had great guard play, and was on fire from the outside. Any details.
