December 5, 200817 yr I'm surprised they didn't fine him some, even it was just a slap on the wrist. :thumb:
December 5, 200817 yr Yesterday I watched an interview with Ronnie Lott, and they showed several clips of the big hits for which he was famous. If the current rules interpretations were in place when Lott played, he would be getting a bill every month instead of a check.
December 5, 200817 yr Add me to the list of those thinking a fine was coming. I just can't figure out the NFL sometimes.

December 5, 200817 yr You wouldn't call anyone out would you... :sssh::lol: Still got flagged on the play, still a dirty play, even your own Steeler fans came into the thread and admitted it. But smile about getting away with dirty plays, classy

But smile about getting away with dirty plays, classy :sleep:League admitted it shouldn't have been called a penalty. No rule against "launching". Only rule is against leading with the helmet which he obviously didn't. Nothing dirty about it. Did you read the article? Or were you :sleep:snoozing?:sssh:

December 5, 200817 yr I am not a Steelers fan, but that was not a cheap shot IMHO. "A lot of people think it's a foul to leave your feet," Mike Pereira told the Boston Herald. "Launching is not a foul. ... It is a foul to hit with your helmet against a defenseless receiver. It is a foul to throw a forearm into the neck or head area of your opponent. I don't think either of those things happened. I'm not a fan of those high hits, but if you do it with your shoulder, you're OK."
December 5, 200817 yr No fine because he was a Steeler, if the Bengals make that hit against the Steelers, the Bengal is fined and suspended!!!!!!:irked::irked::irked:

December 5, 200817 yr Author Sumo, You've not been paying attention have you? Harrison and Woodley both fined for hits on QB that were horrible, not remotely shots to the head. If anything, Crocker's hit on Holmes was "leading with the helmet" and not fined. But this type of reaction from Bengal fans has come to be commonplace here and what I expect.
