I believe it does not matter between this years team and last years team, debating them both wont help Corbin win this game.

 

As we were walking out of the stadium last year we were behind a group of NCC parents and in front of a group of NCC parents. Both groups were making comments about not wanting to play Corbin again, as it could very easily have been a loss.

Haha, I don't blame them, Corbin gave a good fight last year, just as I expect this friday. I dont think any NewCath fan, player or anyone is going to underestimate Corbin, by no means will this be an easy game.

Help me out, I can't remember for sure. Was it a 5 point NCC lead (21-16) late in the 4th and after we had to go for it on 4th down inside our 10, did NCC punch in a TD for the final 28-16 score? I know we got the ball back and moved it down field some before throwing an interception to end the game.

We don't practice on the game field. We have a full practice field at the school. I think they practiced in the field house today.

 

We did have quite a bit of rain yesterday and several intense snow showers today (actually lightning and thunder) Still snowing lightly. With no more rain the field should be fine.

Yep, I was there last year. Nice field/stadium. I heard or read on here that NCC is getting their own field?

 

Our field house is probably about a 30 yard turf field used for baseball/softball & football.

What is the difference the the NewCath defense this year compared to last?

 

I know you guys say they don't play pass d as well. But they have allowed 1865 rushing yards this year - 143 p/g compared to 115 p/g last year. Also allowing 18 points p/g this year compared to 10 points p/g last year.

 

In 2007 they held Conner to 7 pts and in 2008 they gave up 27. That is due to the maturation of West and the Conner offense more than NewCath's inability to play D. They shut out CovCath in 2007 and this year, (in what can only be described as a QB being in the zone, b/c Isler was lights out) they gave up 34. That's four ppg right there. It's just a matter of competing against better offenses than in 2007 and not playing as well as a unit. They've had a lot of injuries this year as well that has kept them from getting great. They've been good, just not as dominate. They are getting healthy now though. As close to 100% as they've been all year, so there will be no excuses from NewCath either way.

Expecting a close game with NC pulling it out in the fourth quarter. I'm sure it will be an emotional, hard-hitting game by both teams. Homefield advantage will help Corbin by one TD in the final margin. Go Breds!!!

I can't quote players and size but from the one time I saw them this year, I remember them being pretty big, especially on the D line with 300 lb. Kiernan at nose.

They are fairly large. What you'll find is that their weight is distributed well. There aren't many fat kids on the roster due to their offseason program and how seriously it is taken. Here's a link to their roster.
