I am also rather interested to here this one.. ?

Lynn Camp beat Dayton; Whitley beat Newport; South Laurel and Knox Central beat Holy Cross, Johnson Central beat CovCath and Holmes; Prestonsburg beat Cooper.

 

The only team that could tell you anything on that list is Holy Cross. The others, CovCath included, were not up to par this year. (And Cooper is a first year program.) Holy Cross was a decent middle of the pack team, but never a threat to do real damage in the playoffs.

Corbin's QB, a 4 year starter who made the Herald Leader top 25(whatever they call it)had by far the worst game of his distinguished career. Sure NCC gets credit for a lot of it, but he clearly just did not have it that night. Corbin still may have won if not for the td pass that was dropped(lost it in the lights) very late in the game that would have given them the lead. In hindsight, Corbin also had some bullets that were left in the holster last year that could have made the difference.

 

I mean, really??? NewCath gave Corbin every chance in the world to dominate that game. Once they woke up they won it. If NewCath didn't self-destruct in the first half, they go into the half with a 14 pt lead and maybe don't come out w/ the same intensity and lose in the 2nd. Who really knows, but why throw out excuses?

I know it's hard for a northern Kentucky private school to realize that maybe our poor little hillbilly team down here in Corbin could have had something to do with NCC self destructing in the 1st half. Heck, if we hadn't self-destructed in the 2nd half we could have ran away with the game. And we did self-destruct, BOTTOM LINE!

Why our offense is nothing but 3 yards and a cloud of dust or maybe this Friday, 3 yards and a wad of mud. We don't have a kid that can run under a 6flat forty, I think only one benches over 100 and maybe two squat over 150lbs. Its sad, sad, sad. What's really sad is we had to use old car license plates for thigh and knee pads this year. Things are real bad. The worst thing is our coaches don't use those fancy headphone sets, they use two cans with a string and last week some redneck kid cut the string and the coaches lost all communication. We ain't got a prayer.

2 things. 1. That guy said that he was a NKY fan. 2. This is the second thread where you have made mention of NewCath being private. If I'm not mistaken, Corbin is Independent. If this is true, than Corbin actually has more of a benefit than NewCath does. Corbin can take its students from outside of their district, just as NewCath can take students from around the diocese. The advantage would be that kids in your district go for free. Throw in that your facilities are top notch, and you have no gripe w/ NewCath being private.

 

Also, your team had very little to do with snaps going over the QBs head. Had it been that we were executing and Corbin stopped NewCath then I would say that Corbin stopped NewCath.
