Makes you wonder. Stores advertise big sales to get such great turnouts, but Wal-Mart seemed unable to handle the crowd that showed up. It seems that they created an atmosphere for this type of thing to happen.

 

So sad that people behave like animals to save a few dollars.

Once again, the stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me.

 

It quit amazing me a long time ago. I worked seven "Black Fridays," and saw three fistfights and at least a dozen near-fights over stupid things such as Gameboys, Tickle Me Elmos, PlayStations, and other such stupid, useless crap.

 

While Wal-Mart, TRU and other retailers are indeed partially guilty, so is our stupid, greed-based society.

Wal-Mart employees were telling us at the Wal-Mart in Hamburg Pavillion that two fist fights broke out at the Richmond Mall, a couple hours later we were at Hastings in Richmond and the cashier was talking to us and telling us a story about her getting into a fight earlier this morning, I was in awe. We had came full circle.

My wife said that a guy beat up on his wife over a disagreement in what they wanted to get at the Oak Grove, KY Wal-Mart. Cops had to come in and take the guy away.

 

Crazy stuff.

That is so sad. Seriously, is saving a few bucks worth the madness? I am all about saving money but when you risk, in this case, getting killed. Not worth it. People act ridiculous sometimes.

I see a major law suit. Sad really, I hope that Wally world really has to pony up major cash for these families. Absolute nightmare. I understand that it was the out of control people that trampled folks, but this is nothing new. Heck, a lady broke her foot last year here in Ashland when something similar happened on Black Friday. Walmart is going to have to do something about the folks that "camp out" and let them in gradually or something. Perhaps TD could come down there with some tazers!!

I'll give you the same response about Walmart as I do in the gambling/casino topics.

 

At the end of the day it's not the establishment, it's the people. Some people can go shopping at Walmart on black Friday and act civil, some cant. Some people can gamble responsibly, some can't. Some people can drink and not get out of hand, some can't. Some people can obtain a license and safely operate a vehicle, some can't.

 

It's all about responsibility. Some people have it, some don't.

 

I place the blame on the people who tore the doors down. Look over the security tapes, get names by looking back over the credit and debit card sales for the day, find these idiots and put them behind bars.

 

You'll never convince me that something a large majority of people enjoy should be taken away because a percentage of people are not smart enough to enjoy it responsibly.
