November 29, 200817 yr I guarantee you those self injury lawyers are drooling over this. Only because "The Wal-MArt" will be quick to settle and keep it out of the public eye. It's society that's screwed up, the people doing these things. The stores do not invoke violent behavior. People are just stupid.
November 30, 200817 yr How did Walmart act negligent? I saw on TV this morning that employees are claiming that Walmart failed to provide a safe work environment. I am not saying I agree with that, but there are attorneys already working on a lawsuit.
November 30, 200817 yr Yeah, lets not blame the people who tore the doors off the building and ran over other people. Trust me I certainly wish to see them prosecuted to the fullest and if you read my earlier post you would see I am not pointing the blame soley on Walmart. Walmart didn't have adequate safety and it is obvious. They share the majority of the blame because they could have diffused the IDIOTIC shoppers and prevented a death. Prosecute the crazy shoppers and hit Walmart in the pocket book.
December 3, 200817 yr GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The family of a New York man who was trampled to death the day after Thanksgiving by a stampede of bargain hunting Wal-Mart shoppers has filed a wrongful death lawsuit. The family also filed notice that Nassau County, on Long Island, and its police department will be sued. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28034543/ Sounds like she's taken the sue everybody to collect a check approach.
December 3, 200817 yr I seriously dont see the relevance in your comparison. There was a death because WalMart acted negligent. I dont think someone gambling away their mortgage payment can compare to a death. You don't think that some of those people who have gambled away everything haven't committed suicide, or killed someone else in a robbery in order to obtain more money?
