What could possibly be wrong with that? Seems like all the Dems on here can't seperate the politics from the real issue. This has zero to do with his politics. In fact, it probablyu shouldn't even be in the politics forum. It's just the Dems and liberals who are wanting to defend Obama's odd behavior by claiming bias.

I am not an Obama homer by any stretch of the means, but is this seriously that big of a deal? With the current success (or lack of success) of our President, I am sure he does not mind a bit being behind closed doors and being back page news.

It's not Photo-Shopped. I saw the tiny seal on there; but I'm not sure it was actually the presidential seal. It was an eagle; but it looked a little different from the "official" seal.

It doesn't have the outside ring that says "SEAL Of The PRESIDENT Of The UNITED STATES." Also, the Latin phrase “E Pluribus Unum” was changed to “Vero Possumus.” I think the latter means dead possum.

It only looks foolish to those who want it to be foolish. It is as simple as that. There are plenty of people who didn't support Obama but aren't getting hung up on things that don't matter. In fact, we are finding this quite comical.

No, he looks foolish with a sign on the podium claiming an imaginary office. Many of us find it comical how people will support something so ridiculous. I'm not "hung" up on anything, but when someone does something that's just flat out stupid and they look moronic in the process, I'm going to point it out with a big ole grin on my face.

I didn't get offended at all. Actually, Ive been impressed with his plans and selections so far. But his wording did strike me as odd. So when I saw this thread I decided that would be an appropriate place to point out my observation. It was the Obama supporters that freaked out about it.

 

Seems like whenever you say something the least bit negative about one candidate or the other in here, their hard-core supporters come swooping in on the attack as if you'd committed a federal offense.

You know, I got to thinking what would have happened if Bush would have done the same thing. My God, the media would have been ALL over him for it (and rightly so) and so many that are saying it's not an issue with Obama would have done the same IMO.

No, the uproar over this is funny. I honestly - honestly - do not see what the big deal is. He is the president-elect. He is being very active in preparing to be our president. There may not have existed any such office before Obama, but there is one now. People just need to accept it and go on to more important matters.

But that's the thing. There must not be more important matters. Otherwise we would be discussing the actual plans, rather than the fact that they are being delivered from this (extraordinarily important) office, replete with this (extraordinarily important) seal.
