No, the uproar over this is funny. I honestly - honestly - do not see what the big deal is. He is the president-elect. He is being very active in preparing to be our president. There may not have existed any such office before Obama, but there is one now. People just need to accept it and go on to more important matters.

Honestly, you guys are the ones in an uproar, the rest of us are having a ball with it. I simply find it it hilarious at how egotistical Obama is, and lets face facts here, if it were Bush eight years ago doing this, it would be front page news and on every news show on TV.

I have no problem with him being active in preparation and NO, there IS NOT now an Office of The President-Elect, regardless of what Obama may think. And officially, he's still not the President-Elect yet.

What's the thread about? How about that, and I'm going to put it in all caps again but this time in bold so as to be crystal clear, THERE IS NO SUCH OFFICE AS THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT-ELECT.

...And the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court had no gold stripes on his robe until Chief Justice Rehnquist decided that he needed something other than an impressive title to show his former peers just how special he was. Fortunately, a more modest Chief Justice repealed the gold stripes. Hopefully, our next President-Elect of the United States of America will likewise, bring a little more humility to the office.
