Bobby Keith - Clay County, Dave Fraley -Powell, Pulaski, Billy Mike Runyan - Paintsville, Bob Creech- Wolfe, James T. Turner- Breathitt. These guys are all eastern ky legends, some bigger than others. You could that a list of thier ism's they said in thier prime and make one funny book. Oh yeah help me out... Guy.....-GRC

Who is it? It doesnt matter whether you played for them or not. Alot of coaches are fun to watch. Mine would have to be Bobby Hall who coached Fleming County and Maysville

 

I remeber watching him when he was at Bracken County. Once, a very young official who worked one of our games made a few questionable calls. Coach hall quietly wqalked to the official before an inbounds play in front of our bench. he out his arm around rthe young referee and said "Son, you are without a doubt the worst official in the state of Kentucky", patted him on the shoulder and sat down. The entire section behind the bench was rolling!

 

I wish I could remember who the official was!

He definately had a way about him.

The Horse Allen Feldhaus and The Raven Fred Hester, agruably the best to roam the sidelines at the same time on a given team.

One of Coach Feldhaus' proteges, Coach O'Hearn, is making a name for himself in a very short period of time. Not as flamboyant as Feldhaus but very effective and winning. I doubt few, if any, coaches have won state in their fourth year of coaching at the schoo. Anybody know any other coach than O'Hearn who who has done this?

I'm a little partial to Henley of Holmes but I've always enjoyed watching Listerman at CCH get fired up and work the officials along the CCH bench. :lol:

 

I think Faust of St Henry would be another favorite as well. He seems to always get the most out of his kids regardless of talent, which in the end is the most important thing.

My favorite basketball coach is the one and only, 'Wild' Bill Warfield from Conner during the 70's & 80's. Very animated coach.
