November 14, 200817 yr Author MadTV is a MUCH better product than SNL and has been so over the last decade. MADTV is nowhere even close to being as good as SNL...Both have been pretty bad over the last couple of years but SNL always has the better cast.

I don't think that was true at all with the original MadTV cast, at least until Will Ferrell and his crew rounded into form. I have a lot more fond memories of MadTV circa 1996-1999 than I do of SNL. But since 2002 MadTV has been pretty much unwatchable.

November 14, 200817 yr It had it's moments where it was pretty funny, like when they made fun of Steven Segal, or I'm not sure if any of you have seen it, if not definitely check out the "I-Rack" episode which was a spin off of Apple and the middle east situation and the US government, it's seriously just down right hilarious. Actually here just check it out.
November 14, 200817 yr It had it's moments (and did give us the voice of Lois Griffin for Family Guy). Ms. Swan, Kenny Rogers, Stuart and Nicole Sullivan's characters were always funny. I guess it had a good run and is time to go. When is the last episode, or has it already ran?
November 14, 200817 yr ^ Stuart was a riot, indeed. There were a few of the skits from older episodes that I enjoyed, but the past few years have been kind of weak. Agreed.
November 14, 200817 yr Honestly, I think SNL and MadTV have been more or less even, considering what they had to work with. SNL SHOULD have been better, having a much larger fanbase and budget, but with the episodes of either show I've seen the past few years I laughed at maybe half the skits on each show.
