November 12, 200817 yr Sad stuff, goes to show I don't think there is anyway to ever get Iraq fully functional. I think its time we suck it up, admit our losses and pull out. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081112/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_iraq

November 12, 200817 yr They're already scheduled to pull out. Can't go running because of an isolated incident like this when plans to leave are already in place. Truley is sad that this happened though, thoughts and prayers for those troops family. Edited November 12, 200817 yr by sportsfan41
November 12, 200817 yr Great idea. Lets just leave and let Iran take over and kill millions of people in Iraq and than nuke Isreal. Great idea.
November 12, 200817 yr I believe that president elect Barock Hussein Obama is already planning on surrendering in Iraq , therefore imo spitting on the graves of all of our men and women lost there. I would not doubt that he (Obama) does just that. :irked: Edited November 12, 200817 yr by oldrambler

Whether you agree with the invasion or not the fact is we are there and the job is not finished. The defeatist attutide of the left and liberal media is the worst possilbe thing for this war. There will be alot of Obama supporters that will be sorely disappointed that they voted and supported him based on a promise that he cannot keep. Bottom line is finish the job and get out as quickly as it makes sense to.

Bottom line is finish the job and get out as quickly as it makes sense to. Although I'm not disagreeing with your opinion I just have a little different opinion. We've been there for five years and their government is still a mess, they are not conforming their society the way they should be, and all I am saying is that if things are still this hectic after five years, then how much longer and how many more lives will we sacrifice before we decide to give up. Because obviously we are light years away from ever setting up a working democracy and a way of life suitable to the way of life we are trying to get them to live. The Mid-East is crazy and war torn, it has been for centuries, what makes everyone think it is so easy for us to change it just because were over there and have been there. It's hard to change people who do not want to change, and when a percentage don't want you there anywhere. My two cents anyway. With that said God Bless Our Troops, and I pray for the families of those lost in this war every night, so no one dare try to portray me as someone who does not care.
November 14, 200817 yr Great idea. Lets just leave and let Iran take over and kill millions of people in Iraq and than nuke Isreal. Great idea. Because this is what will certainly happen. Good thing we went into Iraq in the first place and got all those dang weapons of mass destruction. Who knows what shape our country would be in right now if we hadn't done that?:sssh:
November 14, 200817 yr It is amazing eager some liberals are to lose the Iraq War when victory is in sight. October casualties, both for Iraqi civilians and American troops were the lightest since the war began. I am guessing that American soldiers are now safer in Iraq than they would be on the streets of Newark or Detroit.
November 14, 200817 yr We may as well get out now before this country runs itself in the ground. We had no business there, we can never win a war there, or never could, and there's little we could do now to stop Iran regardless.
November 14, 200817 yr Americans killed in Iraq during 2008: 290 Americans killed in Chicago during 2008: 446
November 14, 200817 yr Two absolutely brilliant posts. :thumb: How inconvenient facts are for agenda driven ideologues. America is not the bully, not the bad guys, not the failure liberal politicians want us to believe we are. It is amazing eager some liberals are to lose the Iraq War when victory is in sight.
