Ben "Eskimo" Parr took one to the house from 65 yrds out. Nice job as he is coming on as a huge target for Kues while Escalante is out.

"The Eskimo" is the unsung hero of this team. A leader on D and O. All guts and HEART, no glory. Great Kid on the field and off.

Great job Ben!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dancingpa:ylsuper:

Not surprised that NCC won this game but surprised the way they dominated. IMO the game wasn't as close as the score might indicate.

Have to disagree, with the exception of big plays both played pretty eva fumble for TD and Kellys punt return were the biggies, dont get me wrong NCC whipped us, big plays are earned not a matter of luck! For the most part they both played great D, the Tiger goal line stand was classic, and on the other hand NCCs come back from that set back was just as memorable!:dancingpa:dancingpa

That goal line stand ranks right up there with the Beechwood-Dayon playoff game in the mid 90's. Fourth and goal from the one clock running out. If Dayton scores they win and move on. Everyone in the house knows it's going to Jason Skirvins (I believe that was his name). The kid was an INCREDIBLE athlete. Short story he gets the ball and Beechwood holds. Crowd goes crazy.

I thought NCC's WRs made Beechwoods secondary look slow and really took it to them. NCC came out and hit Beechwood in the mouth in the second half. I saw Daniels go down twice is he okay for the rest of the season?

The lack of consistent play at the quarterback position continues to undermine the Tiger efforts. At this point in the season one would only hope the Beechwood coaching staff would realize the strengths and weaknesses of the team. To continue to ask an athlete to do something he is incapable of doing is poor coaching. IMO the offense needs to be tailored to the strengths of the athletes.

The Beechwood line, offense and defense, once again was the strength of the team. A well coached group of kids playing at a high level. The goal line stand showed a determination that could well take them the distance

I believe it was an incomplete pass in the endzone that ended that one. Clines had a lane and could have waltzed into the endzone for the score but decided to throw it and it was either over the head of Skirvin or underthrown. That was my recollection as I was standing in the endzone of a capacity crowd. Can anyone confirm this? Its hard to remember yesterday anymore.

Your memory seems a little better than mine. That pass play seems vaguely familiar. I just remember he didn't score and half the crowd went crazy. Is just me or do the crowds seem to be smaller and less enthusiastic than 10-15 years ago?

Beechwood's crowds are most definately smaller and less enthusiastic as they were years ago. I remember many games where you could barely walk through the crowd and you certainly could not get a seat in the stands unless you came early or had reserved seating. I think they expect the team to win. We have gotton a bit spoiled.

The Beechwood crowd at Highlands on Thursday was the best crowd we have had in a long time. People were on their feet cheering. We need to get that back on the varsity level.

The way I remember it it ended in a sack, the play before was a missed pass, two attempts with a QB sneak failed before that, but then again my memory is shot as well!

That game ended with Jerry Clines pass thrown at a Daytons reciever feet to end the game in the endzone. The best high school game that I have personally witnessed. Yes Jason Skirvin was an absolute beast.

It was an incomplete pass. I remember it like yesterday. He rolled out like was stated earlier. Jerry elected to throw it rather than run it in. Skirv was used as a decoy. Great play call on Ridder's part.

NCC getting into playoff form at the right time. They are difficult to beat this time of year.

Agreed, their last couple of wins were pretty big, and good teams to get them ready for playoffs. Wish them the best of luck!
