Not bad for a flash in the pan. ;)

Please. Don't use the word "flash" while you are using that avatar...

This was a very solid game by NCC, one that gave this team the confidence needed (not like they were lacking) to start a third stright playoff run. Stay healthy boys, you looked gread tonight.

Who are the standouts on the offensive line for NCC?

Mark Kelly #24 scored the TD on the INT return. This was a great, hard hitting game. Again, though, NewCath gave up the passing yards against an average pasing team. That will have to be shored up. I was very, very impressed w/ the physicallity of NewCath. They hit, hit and hit harder. Great win.

punt return not interception. What a great return that was.

NewCath hit like crazy tonight. Teipel looked normal but got drilled tonight. Great game plan and preperation by the Breds. I wish these two teams were still in the same class. Great rivalry and another great game by both.

He had a limp all game he was not normal and was used as a decoy, but you still cant turn the ball over to any good team that many times and expect to win.Teipel on a good day gets the ball 25 to 35 times a game when productive. He just didnt have it tonight

Sorry ,but I have to disagree,Teipel did not look like his self tonight.I will give NCC credit this was a hard hitting game as usual.BW has played other hard hitting games this year where NT faired better.Hopefuly all will be healthy for a playoff run.

Isn't it nice though that they can both compete for state titles now?I think so.:thumb:

That's why he should have never been on the field. What did it prove tonight??? Nothing. Rest his foot and get him back healthy after a couple of weeks. There was nothing for either team to gain tonight but pride. If one of your stars is dinged, take the night off and let him rest for a state run. 15-0, or 14-1, either way you have to read it off of the side of a state championship ring.

With all due respect, Beechwood still would have needed to pass the ball to win this game. Their passing game appeared inconsistent.

Agreed. Teipel should not have played if he was not close to 100%. I'm sure he wanted to play and that's what drove the decision. Teipel is tough and I'm sure insisted on playing. Perhaps Coach Rash should have chosen to just say "no" to turf toe.

I have got to believe that if Coach Rash felt that Teipel was hurt that bad, no way he would have played. From what I saw, NCC Defense helped make him limp. Let's give some credit to how well NCC played on both sides of the ball.

We're on the same page. I just can't see the benefit of a kid w/ turf toe participatin in a non-district/playoff game being played on sports turf.

NewCath's lines won this game. No doubt.
