I can't wait to see what happens in the playoffs this year! Its gong to be huge, anything can happen Raceland could finally see that long awaited championship trophy. I know Coach Vanderhoof wants this alot but the community of Raceland been starving for this for a long time.

The debate is for another thread but losing to the #2 2A team is hardly a reason to move a solid #1 Beechwood team out of the #1 position.

Where would Beechwood meet Raceland in the playoffs ?Do they meet before Papa Johns or not ?Could be nice to be the underdog.:D

Papa Johns. Beechwood is in the west.

Actually the Breds scored...twice on that Drive, first time the Refs made an incorrect and spotted the ball at the 1 yard line, films showed it should have been a touchdown. Second time the refs called a touchdown back for assisitning the runner, yet another weak call! In our book the O-line did their job!!!!!!!

Ben "Eskimo" Parr took one to the house from 65 yrds out. Nice job as he is coming on as a huge target for Kues while Escalante is out.

Congrats to the Breds.

What a great story he has turned out to be... BELLEVUE born and breeded, went up there, got an injury which hurt his playing time, now he is one of there studs.. Great job Ben!! :ylsuper:

...and I love his "roots" haircut! Was there a pun I missed with the reference to "studs" ? (LOL)

No, sorry just meant he is one their best lol... Great to see a Bellevue kid grow up and succeed in the spotlight...

I would have to disagree with everyone on Niko, he ran hard and played very good defense, he looked fine to me, they played against a vey good NewCath team and he couldn't do anything against them. NewCath did a lot of hard hitting and the Beeches felt it for sure. It was a good test for both teams and the Best team won. Mark Kelly had another great game, he is fun to watch, the O and D lines were fantastice for NewCath. Good luck to both teams I hope they both bring home a state title.

Honestly, anyone that knows how Niko prefers to run...absolutely knows he was far from 100%. His foot just would not allow him to stop/plant/cut like he normally does. The Bred's played a fantastic/inspired game and was the better team on Friday night. I would "never" say the outcome would have been different with Niko 100%, but he would have certainly put more pressure on the "D" if he was at his best. He should have never been in a game with no meaning; however, he's has way too much heart to stand on the sidelines and watch...

I talked to a Beechwood fan and they said he was fine, he is a very good player with a bright future, trust me when I say this I mean no disrespect becasue you have to play your district games but playing against the teams in Class A doesn't challenge you much at all and stats can be a little desceiving.

Sorry ,but I have to disagree,Teipel did not look like his self tonight.I will give NCC credit this was a hard hitting game as usual.BW has played other hard hitting games this year where NT faired better.Hopefuly all will be healthy for a playoff run.

Isn't it nice though that they can both compete for state titles now?I think so.:thumb:

Not me...

I think the fan that told you that Teipel was fine either didn't know or didn't want to tell you the truth. But if you watched the game and saw Teipel limp to the sideline after one of his first carries it should have been obvious the kid was playing on guts. He was limping more than once during the game and several NCC fans around me said they were surprised he was playing. Kudos to NT for the effort but that was nowhere near the real NT. Agreed that the Class A games are not challenging enough but that is why Beechwood plays 5A schools like Cov Cath (W) and Dixie (W), Prestonsburg (Beechwood winning 31-7 at half) and now has Highlands on the schedule next year. The Tigers and NT should be able to get healthy the next two weeks and be ready for Frankfort.
