November 5, 200817 yr It took me 25 minutes to get through the line... normally it takes less than 5 minutes. There were three precincts at my voting location - the other two had maybe 1 or 2 people in line, tops. Mine, however, had at least 50 in line....
November 5, 200817 yr 5 minutes, only because the poll worker was absolutely blind. She must have been 100 years old, and could not find my name, even when I pointed it out to her. Should have been 2 minutes. Turns out, it was all hype about huge numbers voting this year. Trey Grayson said the same percent voted in KY as the last election, 65%. In Jefferson County, it was the same as well, 71%. This may have been another media induced hype.
November 5, 200817 yr Well it took me about 5 minutes to vote but that was at the Co. clerks office 3 weeks ago I'm a poll worker and because I work in a precinct other that my own I have to vote ahead of time . We used e-scan which has a paper ballot and leaves a paper trail easy to count . We were set up and ready to receive voters by 5:45 at the two precincts in Woodfill School FT Thomas R , and Southgate C . At my Southgate precinct I believe that the longest anyone had to wait was 15 minutes and that was when the polls opened at 6:00 am. We had 20 people in line then . We were busy all day and ended up at 79% voting for our precinct .
