Man, I am glad that I am not in NKY. Still suprised to see this post is still up.

You know it just seems strange that so many of the ones who are backing Coach Brossart while they have been on BGP's for years and years and years never have posted in years and years and years. Doesn't that strike anyone else as strange? Now I do understand that there are those who never post but the first post since Aug 08 for Tom Petty? For Big Easy it is only the 70th post since 2004? Just seems strange that like the Old Colonel who has been a member since 01 to post out of the blue and now with only three post to his log?

 

What happened to any of those true Blue with a spirit that will not die, CovCath/BGP's members congratulating CovCath in 06 when they beat HHS in the last three seconds, or when CovCath won the State title? Why not congrats the team on a thread when the Basketball team went to the state in 06 or the big last second win over NCC just this year? Why not a good luck to the Baseball team prior to the game with NCC for this years ninth region finals! Even Mr reality who one day breaks down a football team like a pro then the next post says he really is only a casual fan who only understand football because of his son?

 

Oh yes they are huge big CovCath fans alright..... of Brossart!!!!

 

 

BTW I totally understand why the HHS guy's love Brossart...... and I can think of 102 to 0 reason for it! :D

*My mistake,it was pee wee lewis who did a lot for the weight room makeover not the infidel. The Infidel is a volunteer who broadcasts every football game, even though he doesn't have a kid on the team.

Let the coaches run the program. I think most people know when negativity is being spewed out of the bitter barn mouths. I do believe that 'sometimes' coaches play favorites.. but for the most part the kid who can get the job done is the one on the field.

 

My advice to original poster: Stay OUT of the gossip stew. Keep your head down. Avoid the negativity. Most level-headed people/players/parents know who supports a program and who doesn't. Gravitate toward the people you absolutely know are on your side. The outsiders will eventually join in or they will stay there....on the outside!

I should show my son this thread so he has a better understanding of high school sports and why I'm not spending thousand's of dollars to send him there..... I know there will be a response about the education being so much better than public schools... but I know a lot of successful people that went to public schools and a lot of not so successful going to Cov Cath, etc.. I know this type of stuff goes on in nearly every high school but would not dare to believe it is as bad as this program right now. Parents and "supporters" need to take their concerns "privately" to the administration and if they don't get the answer they want..... quit supporting the school.

 

I told my son it is a better feeling to beat a school like Cov Cath than to get into a "click" like them.... yes, cov Cath will beat most schools 9 out of 10 times, but the one time is sooooo worth it.

hja1224...IMO your post is out of line. You are showing your hypocritic side. You say "this" is why you are not sending you kid to CCH.. yet you take up time on this thread to bash the school and point out that you know plenty of "not so successful" people who attended the school? What is that? IMO you are doing exactly what you are condemning others for doing!

The quote regarding the education was simply meant that it is not necessarily the school you go to for education, but the kids ability to learn, parent involvement in their kids school work, etc... I'm sure Cov Cath has great teachers, as other schools do, but that doesn't mean the kid will succeed just because he went there.

I think there are alot of great people that have attended CCH, are parents of students at CCH, have worked at CCH and are presently attending CCH. All I am positive have their heart in the right place and want only the best for their school. The difference is they all have a different opinion on how to achieve that. I look at it like you win some battles and you lose some. If you have a little give on everyones part, maybe everything would start hitting on all cylinders. :thumb:

Why are you so concerned about the number of posts and when someone posted???

You ruined your credibility when you put the blame all on the head coach??

 

Could the head coach and assistants do better??? Sure.

 

Could the players execute better??? Yes.

 

Would the players perform better if the parents and those around the program weren't poisoning the players??? Absolutely.

 

You need to check out some of Leatherneck's posts; he knows the importance of keeping everyone believing.

BTW, there was no need to put names, and name calling. That just shows me your credibility in this matter. I guess you must be working for Brossart? The team mom wasn't going to do it this year but PARENTS asked her to because they appreciate what she and she loves the kids. Without the hill billy and the infidel there wouldn't have been a complete makeover of the entire weight room, locker room, and coaches office that Brossart loves so much.

WOW!!!

The 2 people in question had committed to the locker room before Brossart was hired

and there were lots of parents that help with that rehab.

I know for a fact that neither one gave Brossart a chance to succeed

and all you do is stir the pot when talking to other parents , you are not helping

the team ,school or the coaches.

Does Brossart need to make changes ;YES but we have to remember that Coach Ray was 7-36 after 4 years

Brossart needs time to rebuild a deleted program; rememeber Rodenberg did nothing to develop the younger kids

I think many Colonels fan forget that season is not over and we play the most difficult

schedule in the state

As far as the rest of this things in this thread, just beat Highlands and they will work themselves out.

 

If anything it's good to see the passion is still there. Now it just has to be positively channeled.
