Just because I don't drink the Colonel Aid doesn't mean what I have to say isn't true and germane to CCH hiring Coach Wirth. I want to see CCH succeed but I am underwhelmed by this hire. I hope Coach Wirth proves me wrong.

The Park Hills Mafia has to support this decision because they wanted Brossart out. Secretly however I wonder if maybe they don't fully support the decision because Wirth was the third choice for the job after Woolf and Siple. Of course, you could call that poetic justice since Wirth claimed Brossart was the third choice for the job last time around. :popcorn:

I agree with you on all points. I like Dave Brossart but I think there will be a change at CovCath. First of all, Death Rowe (the CCH Principal) has made it known to his inner circle that he is strongly considering making a change. Second, former Moeller, OH coach and NFL player Bob Crable has made it known he would be very interested in the CCH job were it to come open. I really think anything is possible and the next few weeks should get interesting.

It is germane to the situation. bucki is accusing wrongdoing on the part of people surrounding the program which is the same thing the PHM has been accused of. Either way I don't want to fight with you about it. Hey bucki, do you think Woodford has the CCH/Holmes tape?

bucki, can something like that ever be made right? I find it hard to believe that this was a "mistake." Even if Woodford sent the real tape at a later date CovCath still wouldn't have the same time to prepare which means it can never be made right. Not trading the correct tape is a coaching issue, alums emailing people is completely out of control of the school. Besides, haven't you been keeping up with the Park Hills Mafia? Those people are out of control! Finally, what do you know about Woodford getting tape from another NKY coach? I see you didn't address that one which tells me you don't want to tell what you know.

CovCath wins this one but there are a couple of sub-plots that are very interesting. First, the Woodford coaches traded tape with CovCath only Woodford gave CovCath tape from 2007. Second, word has it a NKY head coach gave Woodford tape on CovCath in violation of the standing NKY rule not to give tape out on other NKY schools.

What is going on is the current coaching staff is having to fight a lot of battles they shouldn't have to fight. I agree the schedule is too tough. CovCath needs to get rid of all the Ohio D1 schools and the KY 6A school on their schedule. Hopefully Coach Brossart will be given more time to prove he can coach and for the sake of everyone associated with CovCath hopefully the Park Hills Mafia will be dealt with by Ringmaster Guidugli.

My wife tells me I act childish at times but that doesn't mean I lack credibility. No I don't work for Brossart. Who in the heck can afford to work in a private high school. Based on that alone I would have a hard time being critical of any private school coach unless the boosters are kicking in extra money and I doubt that is the case at Covington Catholic. Finally, just because some members of the Park Hills Mafia have done good things in the past for CovCath doesn't give them the right to tear CovCath down now.

Great summary YepItsMe! You are right on target. How about we put names with the Park Hills Mafia. 1. The team mom is Shelia Roedig and she is upset Coach Brossart didn't hire her son. Besides, how the heck can she be a Team Mom if she doesn't have any kids on the team? How about team "Control Freak." 2. The former support guy is Randy "Hillbilly Jim" Ellison. Why anyone would listen to two words he says is beyond me. 3. The broadcast guy is Mark Wehry. Wehry was out of control last year when his kid was knocked out of the QB competition. He is better this year but he still is the "Great Infidel." 4. The booster is Pee Wee Reese and he did try to take over the junior high team and was exiled by Coach Brossart. I agree with the poster above, if he knew half of what he thinks he does we could call him "Pee Wee Lewis." 5. And the one you forgot YepItsMe is the AD, Mike Guidugli. Guidugli lets all of these cancers operate and it is a shame because he is to blame more than anyone for not supporting his football coach. Guidugli is truly the Ringmaster of the Park Hills Mafia.
