Not sure if what is posted will actually occur or not...but U.S. Corporations take advantage of every possible thing that they can just so they can make more money.

I understand that. But I don't think the answer would be to ease things for the corporations. They take advantage of the government and the people of the United States every chance they get.

:thumb: The answer is to create a system that is fair. IMO, that is a situation with a Flat Tax with less deductions and loopholes. And the way to do that is to abolish the IRS.

Those evil corporations pay yours and mine salaries and provide us health benefits, retirement funds, among money other things that are unheard of in half the world.

Wow. That's a really interesting (and in my opinion unfair and completely unrealistic) way to look at corporations. Where do you learn this stuff? Since you didn't differentiate, I have to assume you meant all corporations are as you described them. Which probably means the incorporated corner grocery, the incorporated dentist practice, the incorporated butcher on Main Street, etc. A whole lot of the businesses that every American deals with every day are corporations. I wasn't aware that they all took advantage of the government and the people of the U.S. every chance they got. If anything, the double taxation imposed on C corporations income is the Govt taking advantage of (ie, ripping off) the shareholders of those C corporations.

I think you know what I meant. The corporations I was talking about are the ones who feel it is okay to break the law if it is cost effective. I'm talking about the corporations that take advantage of the United States government and American citizens all so they can make more money. I'd say a good example of this type of corporation IMO would be Halliburton or some of the other corporations in Iraq that have taken advantage of the U.S.

You can't lump all corporations together. They are not all the same.

 

And BTW, their job is to make money for their investors who purchase their stocks on the stock market which infuses capital into the companies to allow them to grow and prosper. If you kill the corporations in America, who do you really think is going to pay? They aren't going to lose money and stay in business very long (unless they get a government bailout). My 401k plan took a major hit with the recent bank failures and its impact on the stock market. And I am no evil corporation.
