October 24, 200817 yr I guess it's easy to skip over the fact they are portraying Obama's wife tomorrow night... It takes the winds out of the sails of the argument...
October 24, 200817 yr I agree with those 3. Who could forget: Ferrell's Bush: "Stategory" Hartman's Clinton in that skit where the police were called to the White House on a domestic disturbance call because Hillary had beaten him up. Carvey's Bush: "Wouldn't be prudent, not at this junc-ture" and "Not gonna happen" I believe it was Strategery wasn't it? And I agree Ferrell's Bush was hands down the best.
October 24, 200817 yr I believe it was Strategery wasn't it? And I agree Ferrell's Bush was hands down the best. I smile just thinking about it. They need to bring him back to do a skit as Bush turning over the White House.

October 25, 200817 yr Author I guess it's easy to skip over the fact they are portraying Obama's wife tomorrow night... Lets see how that ends up. Hopefully its as harsh as they are on Palin. I promise you that it would be a racial issue if she was portrayed in the same manner as Palin has been lately.
October 25, 200817 yr Author You're equating SNL with porn? No actually you were the first to bring up an equation.
October 25, 200817 yr I've felt that SNL has historically ripped anybody who is lampoon material. Remember Dan Ackroyd's Jimmie Carter stuff? He didn't look like Jimmie but he had the accent perfect. The phone call from the guy who took the "orange sunshine" acid. "Now you're going to be on this trip for a few hours. Have you got some Allman Brothers Albums?" Or the 3 mile island investigation when Carter goes to prove nothing's wrong and ends up growing into a giant. As has already been mentioned, Hartman's Clinton was great. Long before Monica the skit has Clinton eating food he's not supposed to in a McDonalds and saying, "What I eat is the least of the secrets we will be keeping from Mrs. Clinton." Is there a bias? If you're looking for it everyone think's there's bias to practically anything. :thumb:

Fey has said that she does not want Palin to win. Of course, we know Alec Baldwin's stand on Republicans. I am still wondering why he is in this country after the 2004 election.

The question is whether SNL writers could write material funnier than the stuff that Joe is using on the stump.
October 25, 200817 yr Of course, we know Alec Baldwin's stand on Republicans. I am still wondering why he is in this country after the 2004 election. An excellent question, considering he got my hopes up with his threat/promise to leave!
October 25, 200817 yr I don't really care. I'm all for anything that gets Tina Fey more screen time. (need a drooling smiley)
October 25, 200817 yr No actually you were the first to bring up an equation. You mentioned the two as examples as if they are equivalent ... good gosh, no one in their right mind cares about what the porn industry does.
October 25, 200817 yr Author You mentioned the two as examples as if they are equivalent ... good gosh, no one in their right mind cares about what the porn industry does. I would think that Palin and her family cares a lot.
October 25, 200817 yr I think the SNL skits are great!!! They will continue no matter who takes office.
