However, I agree that much of what Biden says is just plain stupid and scary.

For the record, I never said that nor implied it.

 OK.
Did they use the "Jobs is a three letter word" or "Stand up Chuck (guy in wheelchair) so everybody can see you" lines? If those gaffes are not skit material, then I don't know what is.

He has made several gaffes...the wheelchair one is not one of them. He did not know - and had not been told - that the man was in a wheelchair.

The stand up, Chuck incident was hilarious. Obviously, Biden did not know but some Democratic staffer or local host should have told him. Either way, it was a comedic moment. (A moment that I think Biden handled well - but it was still a funny event.)

Liberals have such a double standard where it comes to Palin and Biden. Biden is not an intellectual but he sees himself as one. That is the basic recipe for gaffes. Biden confidently says the wrong thing at the wrong time. When he does not know something, he will never say, "I will get back to you on that," he simply makes something up.

From the VP debate:

BIDEN: Vice President Cheney has been the most dangerous vice president we've had probably in American history. The idea he doesn't realize that Article I of the Constitution defines the role of the vice president of the United States, that's the Executive Branch. He works in the Executive Branch. He should understand that. Everyone should understand that.
Wrong, Joe.

From Article I, Section 3 of the United States Constitution:

The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no vote, unless they be equally divided.

The Senate shall choose their other officers, and also a President pro tempore, in the absence of the Vice President, or when he shall exercise the office of President of the United States.

Article I of the United States Constitution defines the role of the Legislative Branch, including the duties of the Vice President. Article II of the US Constitution deals with the Executive Branch. Everybody should know that, Joe, especially somebody who has spent more than 30 years in the US Senate and who aspires to be Vice President.

The great confidence that Joe Biden has, regardless of the level of his knowledge on a given subject, makes him perfect fodder for late night comedians. The only thing holding him back is that he is an extreme liberal. If he had a southern accent, Biden would remind me even more of Foghorn Leghorn but he does a pretty good impression even with his Yankee accent.

You know, the more Hoot slams Joe Biden, the better pick I think he was ...

:thumb: Good for you. You must also feel really good about backing Obama.

I'm not really enamored with Obama, actually ... I could have voted for McCain, but his pandering to the far right has turned me away.

McCain is not the guy for anybody who really believes that he has pandered to the far right. Obama is a far left guy who has pandered to the middle to win an election. McCain has never stopped poking the right in the eye periodically just to remind them that they have nowhere else to go.

I expect many will vote for Obama and then fret over how to remove those bumper stickers within a few months of his inauguration.
