Your First Concert

Featured Replies

What was the first concert you ever attended? I'm talking real concert - not the high school dance or the local battle of the bands.

Fess up. No matter how uncool it was, we're not here to judge you. We promise not to laugh if it was the New Kids on the Block or the Spice Girls (well, we won't laugh out loud, anyway).

I'll be brave and go first. The Eagles and Linda Ronstadt in Landover, Md.

New Kids on the Block. I was like 7 or 8 and it was honestly cool back then. HAHAHA

This...is...embarrassing...but: Dashboard Confessional.

It was either Ratt/Quiet Riot or Rick Springfield/Corey Hart. I can't remember which came first.

Hey, it could be worse. It could have been the (holding in a huge laugh, here) The New Kids on the Block.

Please tell me that you heard "Round and Round" before you heard "Sunglasses at Night".

I honestly can't remember.

I do remember that at the Rick Springfield concert I was right at the stage, and when he was leaning over putting out his hand for the usual "touchy feely" part of the show, he sweated on me.

I remember that Ratt & Quiet Riot were at the Louisville Palace, and it was just the weirdest venue for that concert.

Hank Williams Jr. In Biloxi MS. It was awesome.

4th row for Huey Lewis "Sports" tour.

Al Green in Cincinnati

Anne Murray at the Ohio State Fair when I was about 9 or 10.

The first concert I ever paid for and was not accompanied by a parent was Run DMC/Public Enemy/Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince/EPMD/JJ Fad at Riverfront Coliseum.
