November 18, 200817 yr Looking for AAU tournaments in January other than the normal ones (i.e. BCI, Hoops, Mid America, etc.). Anyone know of any?I know that they are having some in the Knott Co. Sportsplex and it is supposedly a very nice facility and a fellow asked me about bringing our kids up. I would like to play there simply to check it out. Not to mention, there should be some solid competition in that area as well. Just an idea. Here's a link to the site. http://www.knottcountysportsplex.com/
November 19, 200817 yr Looking for AAU tournaments in January other than the normal ones (i.e. BCI, Hoops, Mid America, etc.). Anyone know of any? Sycamore High School in Ohio has a nice one January 2-4. Man to man defense only. They do a nice job up there. Go to http://www.sacbasketball.org for more info. I also believe Sports Plus in Reading Ohio had one in January. KBA usually has a Winter Festival Tournament in January. As one poster said if you can get the Fieldhouse in Indy, they do a very nice job as well. We go up there every summer.
November 21, 200817 yr BCI is having a tournament Thanksgiving weekend for only $50. Should have a good turn out for that price. I hoping some teams that don't come up here will come up here for that price. Price of gas is down, good Christmas shopping weekend. It is for school and aau teams.
November 24, 200817 yr AAu thread awfully quiet lately. NKy Warriors beat the NKy Outlaws 38-35 tonight in league play.
November 24, 200817 yr AAu thread awfully quiet lately. NKy Warriors beat the NKy Outlaws 38-35 tonight in league play. Sounds like a very good game. Flight beat OldSpice by the same score I believe.. Maybe 35-33 can't remember..
November 24, 200817 yr The Bulls beat Wolfpack (Warning) by a score of 49-37 I believe. Huesman had 18 (4 of 6 behind the arc), Pouncy was 2 of 3 and Swanson was 1 of 2 from long range, so it appears the guards are starting to work off the rust a little.
November 24, 200817 yr Huesman had 18 (4 of 6 behind the arc), Pouncy was 2 of 3 When they're on they can light it up.
November 24, 200817 yr Sounds like a very good game. Flight beat OldSpice by the same score I believe.. Maybe 35-33 can't remember.. The Warriors jumped out to a 24-13 halftime lead on strong play from all ten kids who were worked in every 3 minutes. Outlaws came roaring back with a nice full court press in 3rd but Warriors never gave up the leade and the game winner was a bucket by Turner off a nice assist from Witte. He got fouled with 15 sec left and hit the free throw for the final margin. They had all of their kids tonight and they still have only had 1 practice but all seem to be clicking since they have been together 4 yrs. Outlaws had a kid that was a verrrrrry good shooter. #31 I think his name is Collins and he has nice size. He was hitting 18 foot fade aways with kids hands in his face. I think he had 18 of their first 21 points and ended the game with 23pts on like 50% shooting. My son told me he was at a camp with him and he told him he was a frosh. I am assuming he could be a grade exception or something. A very nice player though.

Good to hear, they can definitely light it up. The only time I hope they dont is when we play you all. LOL
