Notre Dame 38 Purdue 21

Go Irish!! :thumb:

I was disappointed to hear that HHS grad Sean Sester had an injury that kept him from playing today.

The Irish might just prove me wrong after all..

Clausens arm is very very strong and he did a great job of managing the game. Armando Allen showed what he is capable of and Tate and Floyd continue to play great. If they play like they did in the 3rd quarter consistently, then they will be tough to beat.

Armando Allen gives them what they have been missing for forever out of the backfield, a game breaker. The guy can hit a home run every time that he touches the ball. Huge pick up.

Purdue should be kicked out of the big ten after this showing and be forced to play as a 1-AA independent.

Notre Dame is 2-1 in the Big 10. What does that say about the Big 10?

I'm optimistic for the Irish. Maybe not this season, but soon. I hope for 7-8 wins plus bowl game.

12 of their 14 TD's this season are by FR and SO, none of the redshirt variety. Tate and Floyd on the ends, Rudolph at TE, who just became more important since the starter will likely be kicked out of school for his drinking violation. Armando Allen finally getting some holes when the OL put together a decent 2nd half, and you see what he can do with his 4.3 speed. He broke his leg his senior year and missed the whole season and was not fully recovered until this season. Some of that in his head I believe.

They have some nasty young guys on defense like Brian Smith and Ethan Johnson. Brian is the heart and soul, and Ethan in his first start put serious pressure on the QB, but no sacks. Then Blanton showed why he is so special with the INT TD return weaving through nearly the entire Purdue FB team.

Sure, they are getting schooled by experienced players, but they show occassions of brilliance. Once they learn the position better, after so much schooling, they should be much better next season.

Well said, it's obvious that there best players are young. This team should only get better. Michael Floyd is a beast, and Golden Tate is finally learning the WR position. They will have some ups and downs this season, but I look for it all to come together starting next season. Weis's first real class will be seniors.

Looking at the remaining schedule:

DATE OPPONENT TV TIME (ET)

10/04 Stanford NBC 2:30 PM

10/11 @ North Carolina 3:30 PM

10/25 @ Washington 8:00 PM

11/01 Pittsburgh NBC 2:30 PM

11/08 @ Boston College TBA

11/15 @ Navy CBS 12:00 PM

11/22 Syracuse NBC 2:30 PM

11/29 @ No. 9 USC 8:00 PM

Stanford, Washington, Pitt, Navy and Syracuse all should be wins.

@ North Caronlina and @ Boston College will be tough games and then @ USC is probally a loss but who knows. This team has the chance to end the regular season 10-2 or 9-3.

Go Irish! Ordered this years shirt for the wife and I yesterday. Received them today. Will be in attendance for the Pitt game.

If ND goes 10-2 and wins a bowl game, they will finish the year in the top 10. Wouldnt it be something to see Notre Dame and Alabama back in the top 10. I'll feel like Im in high school again. Is Barry Switzer still at Oklahoma?:D

Not to get too far off subject, but I love Barry Switzer. He is great.

Notre Dame is not a very good team. It's a shame such a bad team is being masked by a pathetic schedule.
