Oregon St 27 USC 21

Featured Replies

1 loss USC and their strength of schedule doesn't get into the "ship" when compared to a team like Georgia or Florida and their strength of schedule. IMO, this doesn't eliminate them but without a winout USC is hopeless for the "ship".

OK, so all is now right with the world, USC will go on and blow everyone else out, and then beat the tar out of the Big 11 representative in the Rose Bowl....remember this?

That's what everyone thought would happen tonight! USC was just dominated by Oregon States offensive line, USC overated again!

This is the same Oregon St team that got dismantled by Penn St. I dont care how unprepared USC was, over if they were overlooking them or whatever. If USC was as good as they were being made out, the circumstances wouldnt matter...this loss should never have happened and it shouldnt be forgotten at the end of the season. I mean, if USC runs the table the rest of the way, they will climb back up in the polls meaning they could end up in the BCS championship. To my way of thinking, that should never happen. I mean, my goodness, OSU was a 1 and 2 team and a 23 point underdog. I hope that the USC people on BGP will come on back to the SEC where you belong! Come on! We forgive you but dont ever stray again, LOL!!!

I agree 110%, well put!

As I said in the update thread, run CJ Gable more. God help Ohio State if they meet the Trojans in Pasadena, because I have a feeling they'll get about 25 carries apiece from him and McKnight shoved down their sorry throats.

Buckeyes fans: Pray it's Penn State who suffers that embarrassment, and not you guys. It won't be pretty, whether during the game, or (especially) afterward.

I don't know what Ohio State did to you to cause such hatred, but the Buckeyes as much as you hate them will be back. They will have a great remainder of the season and work their way back up into the Top 10. Luckily it doesn't matter what you say or how you feel about the Buckeyes they will be back to the top by the end of the season and will receive a major BCS Bowl bid!

By the way which college team do you root for, do you have one or you just one of those fans that like to select the entire SEC conference and gloat when one of them is doing well?

Would love to hear what Colin Cowherd says tomorrow.

(Whiney voice that is very nasally)

OK so USC lost.... (long pause that he uses to build suspense)

Well College football fan, you HAVE NOT seen the last of the Trojans. In a football landscape where I guarantee no team will be undefeated from a amajor BCS conference, and the Big 10 DOES NOT count as a BCS conference.....

(2 hours of justifying how USC will be back and why they should edge out any other conference's BCS representative)

He may even have Pete Carroll as a guest on the show just so hecan remark about how classy he is after he gets off the line and how a coach like that "gets it" and will bring them back in position to win the National Title.

Then what does that make Ohio State?

That was great watching the 1-2 Beavers get over on the once said to be greatest college football team ever. I believe that is what the person on sports talk radion called them.

Wait a minute now, ... the Beavers are now 2-2! :D;):thumb:

What a great game to watch! I guess USC isn't the greatest team to ever play college football.

He will also get in a couple of shots at the SEC for not playing a tougher out of conference schedule regardless of how tough their conference may be. It might go a little something like this....

"Now the SEC teams are having a party, but they really have no right to. Oregon State is a tough team, I mean LSU lost to Kentucky last year and got to the national championship game. KENTUCKY. That was a bad loss and later in the season, but they still made it. The SEC plays nobody outside of their conference and say it's because their conference is so tough. Well if you are so good, go play some real teams outside of your conference and prove it like USC did when they throttled Ohio State." then more jabber along the same lines.

This should ruin their national title hopes and it should eliminate Sanchez's name from any Heisman watch lists. This was a very bad loss for USC. What does this say about Ohio State?

On a side note, UK is still in the national title chase and USC isn't :thumb:

This is nice. It gets old every year with people putting USC in the National title game after 1 week. Its good to see them lose so early in the year. They aren't out of it now, but now atleast we won't hear them talking about this team being the greatest team ever anymore for atleast this season.

You can't compare one game to another. Plus it is early, these teams will get much stronger as the year progresses. It's not uncommon to see a top team get knocked off early. Both Ohio State and USC will be in the Top 10 and receive major bowl bids come January!

They may be in major bowl bids due to the BCS tie ins with the Big11 and PAC10 but it won't be the NC bowl game:thumb:

And Ohio State might not count there chickens yet. They got smoked by USC, who got beat by Oregon State who got smoked by Penn State.

Ohio State will have their hands full with Penn State and probably another team or two in the Big Ten. That being said, I'd love to see these two have a rematch in the Rose Bowl so USC can win by 30 :thumb:
