September 21, 200817 yr I'd say if PSU goes undefeated and continues to handle teams as they are now and there is no other or just 1 other undefeated team, they have to be in the NC Penn State goes undefeated USC goes undefeated Georgia or Florida loses one game and defeates either LSU, Alabama, or Auburn in the SEC Championship The SEC team has to get the edge in this one based on the results of the past couple years.

You're leaving out an undefeated Big 12 team (Oklahoma or Missouri) who would have to be in the mix also... and I concur that the 1 loss SEC school would have an edge over an undefeated Penn State.

They may have the edge in some peoples eyes, but the rankings would put Penn St in front IMO. Oklahoma and Mizzou have a very good chance too since they won't meet until the B12 title game.
September 22, 200817 yr Coming from a U.L. fan that said that U.L. did a couple of years ago.:lol: I don't know what UofL has to do with anything, but.... UofL a couple years ago would have put up just as much fight, if not more, than tO$U.

Just like Florida jumping Michigan two years ago, the pollsters will take notice.

Just like Florida jumping Michigan two years ago, the pollsters will take notice. We shall see. I think any SEC team will be lucky to only have 1 loss. I just think and unbeaten Penn St would play for the title before a one loss LSU, UGA, or Florida. I'm not saying they deserve it, but how I think it would play out.
September 22, 200817 yr Coming from a U.L. fan that said that U.L. did a couple of years ago.:lol: As you know I am not a UL fan. However I would say the Big East has been better than the Big 10 the last few years. So the Big East IMO had more horses as he said, than the Big 10 still...
September 22, 200817 yr I feel a one loss SEC team is better than an undefeated PSU. I love Paterno, but he doesnt have to put up with the talent SEC coaches have to week in and week out.
September 22, 200817 yr Penn State will lose at least 2 games in the Big Ten... Don't worry about them being in the NC discussion.
