Could Penn State enter the NC talk?

Featured Replies

That offense is explosive, anyone think they could take tOSU's spot in the National Title game or at least be the representative in a BCS game? Can they go undefeated?

I think they could go undefeated, which is more of a testament to their schedule than anything else. They've looked impressive in beating very weak teams, and being in the Big 10, they'll pretty much be beating more of the same.

Penn State could very well go unbeaten. I don't really look for them to be unbeaten or in the NC game even if they do but imo they will be in the discussion should they go unbbeaten.

If they are the only one undefeated or one of 2 teams, they will likely be in the NC

:thumb: I agree that they should if that were the case. I just think that they might be looked over for a one loss team depending on who that one loss team may be. Maybe not though, should they go unbeaten (and I am hoping OSU gets them;)) then I would love to see Joe Paterno in the NC game. He would be deserving of it.

I hope not.....the Big Ten doesn't have the horses to compete in the NC this year.

What if they throttle tOSU like USC did?

They wouldn't get the nod over SEC teams, so I wouldn't be suprised if Penn State doesn't get in NC game.

I'd say if PSU goes undefeated and continues to handle teams as they are now and there is no other or just 1 other undefeated team, they have to be in the NC

Coming from a U.L. fan that said that U.L. did a couple of years ago.:lol::rolleyes:

Like it or not, fair or unfair, an undefeated Big 10 team will go to the NCG over a one loss SEC team. What is interesting is if Penn St, USC, and a Big 12 team(Oklahoma or Missouri) all go undefeated, what happens? I just cant see an SEC team coming out of the wars without at least one loss(although Florida is looking dominant today).

Penn State will lose to someone in conference, the Big 10 knows each other too well. I haven't seen many SEC teams play but Georgia did not impress me against South Carolina. Florida looks strong and Alabama could make some noise but I wouldn't count out Oklahoma or Mizzu.

Stop trying to defend the Big Ten at every opportunity. The Big Ten is bad, again this year. They can not compete on the big state with the big boys. They should play teams of their competition like Troy and Ohio. End of story.

The Big 10 is bad, but so is the Big East. And I for one hope that Penn State, USC, and a Big 12 team all go undefeated... just to see how they mess it up.
