What 2 teams beat them?

Illinois is a team that a lot of people like to pick for upsets.

 

I'll say this. Juice Williams is tough, but losing Mendenhall will hurt a lot more than people realize.

I recall Michigan beating fast Florida, matter of fact they scored 41 points and had over 550 yards in the game. Georgia was the ONLY SEC team who scored more points on FL in a game last year with one more point, 42. Same Michigan team who scored 3 points on OSU in Ann Arbor..... if you timed every OSU player and every Florida player, many 40 times would be identical. All of those 4-5 star recruits OSU gets don't run 5.0 flat 40's to get a 4-5 star ranking. It's not the speed that is hurting the Big 10.

I mean it's been painfully obvious to anyone watching over the past couple years that tO$U doesn't have the speed to compete with the guns in the SEC, and USC just proved they can't do it with them either. You'd have to be living under a rock to not realize that.

My reason for Wisconsin is I think they are the best team the conference has to offer, and could actually see them going undefeated as they get both Penn State and tO$U in Madison.

 

My reason for Illinois is they have the team speed that seems to drive Big Ten schools crazy. I don't think it's a coincidence they have a former SEC coach either...

You mean to tell me that all of those guys from Appy State are faster, better recruits than the kids at Michigan? No they are not, but Appy State runs a pure spread offense, something you don't see in the Big 10 but you are going to soon from Michigan, Illinois and even OSU. Even if you have the personnel to defend it, you have to know how to defend it. It's tough for Big 10 teams who never see it, and the Big 10 until recently has been stubborn about wanting to change to it. They have always been known as a power conference.

You forgot to mention Penn State the featured team of this thread in the above list who runs... the Spread HD offense.

 

You SEC guys will bash the Big 10 for another year or so but they are making the change that you won't like.

Or it could be that the Big 10 conference has been a power conference for as long as anyone can remember. I will let you decide. Same reason why there RB's who go to the NFL are usually beat to death and don't last.

I have said all along that Penn State is one of the most dangerous teams in the country. Their offense is very explosive and the defense is as well. I would think they could go unbeaten, and IMO they have the best chance to beat Ohio State out of the other top Big 10 teams. They can go 12-0, but I don't know if they will. But right now they have to be in the talk for the NC. They have gave it to all their opponents thus far.
