It seems every time someone says anything about the Big Ten being down, which there is no way anyone can deny, you come back and attack Louisville or another posters favorite team. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I just don't get it. :confused: I have said that the Big10 was down compared to some others as well, you are correct in that cannot be denied. I was just answering shots at me. I was really more or less taking a good natured "jab" at RP on his post on this one (the one that another poster quoted). Nothing more, nothing less. Had I been jabbing the other poster then I would understand but I wasn't. I mean seems kind of dumb to me, that the coaches would just stick with being power, even though what might have been best was switching to the spread. So sticking with tradition, over what is best for you players, don't seem that smart to me. :sssh: Just face it for the last few years the Big 10 has just been very down. Usually when they play a top team from another conference they have been losing. Michigan really has the only real good win lately outside of their conference when they beat Florida. IMO the only reason they pulled that off was because they played really inspired ball that day for their coach since it was his last game. I don't know why you try to defend it right now, because you really don't have much of an argument. The players are either just not fast enough to keep up with the speed of other top teams, or well they just don't have as good as coaches, since they wanted to stick with power. Either way the Big 10 lately has just not been that good overall. Sometimes conferences have to change...it wasn't that long ago the SEC was being criticized for being old-fashioned and un-creative offensively. It even went as far as saying the SEC defenses were overrated because they faced average offenses on a weekly basis. Since then, there's been an infusion of more creative and explosive offenses... Maybe the Big Ten needs some of that...and maybe we're seeing it. Ohio State has already opened their offense up from what it used to be. Rich Rodriguez will have Michigan running his spread attack at full speed in a couple of years and Penn State is lighting up the scoreboard in uncharacteristic fashion. We'll see.

Of course the Big10 is not on the level of the SEC or Big12 "right now", imo that doesn't mean that no one in the conference can play.
