September 17, 200818 yr ...shifted from the AFC to the NFC? I thought I saw some power rankings that would indicate that this is the case. The Colts, Pats and Chargers have looked fairly ordinary. The Cowboys and Eagles put on quite the show last night. Thoughts?
September 17, 200818 yr I think that the power is shifting but it's really a case of age and everything. Peyton Manning is a year older, Brady isn't playing this season, LT has been average, Steelers have looked average. Just seems that the NFC has been a lot better this year thus far. I listened on the radio and one ESPN analyst said he thinks the NFC East is the best division in all of sports. because of constant rivalries.

It also doesn't hurt that there are some real good teams residing there.
September 17, 200818 yr I think you can say that the best team resides in the NFC at this point, and most likely will be the favorite to win the SB.

September 17, 200818 yr Steelers have looked pretty good if you ask me. We'll see how they do in Philly Sunday.
September 17, 200818 yr The Cowboys, Giants, Packers, and Panthers have all looked good thus far. The Eagles have as well. IMO the NFC has caught up with the AFC.
September 17, 200818 yr Steelers have looked pretty good if you ask me. Your right they haven't looked bad at all. I would even venture to say they are the best team in the AFC thus far. But look at it this way. They beat the Browns by 4. The Cowboys beat them by 28. Big difference right there.
September 17, 200818 yr I think, if anything else, it goes to prove how much parity exists across the board in the NFL. In the NFL, every team has talent. The teams who win either A) are the best-coached and best-run franchises or B) the teams who avoid major injuries at key spots. In the AFC, each case of top-flite teams looking ordinary is because of key injuries, such as with Brady/Pats, Jax and their O-Line dilemma, Indy with Clark and Saturday out. San Diego just appears to be the victim of bad luck, and they're a much harder team to rule out than the others. My point is, from a talent standpoint, there's not much difference between the best team in the NFL and the worst. The devil is in the details.
September 17, 200818 yr NFC Cowboys Giants Green Bay Eagles Panthers AFC Steelers Colts Pats Bills Titans Those are the top 5 teams in each conference. RIGHT NOW, the NFC looks to be the best, IMO.

September 17, 200818 yr It just surprises how the Titans always find a way to win and stay competitive. Outside of Chris Johnson they have zero weapons on offense. Just goes to show how good of a coach Jeff Fisher really is.
