September 17, 200818 yr I do think the power has shifted to the NFC at this point, but there is still a long way to go. As Jim mentioned, the injury bug has hit the recent AFC powers hard, and they are all in a bit of a regrouping stage. This is also something that plagued the NFC in the last few years in terms of perception. Nothing new in the NFL, but often discarded on both sides because it happens to everyone any more. Get back to me in late October to know if things changed as much as they seem right now...
September 17, 200818 yr I'd put Denver in over Tennessee, but I'd leave Buffalo. Definitely agree about Denver, but I'm going to have to see a little bit more from Buffalo. San Diego at 0-2 still looks like a far more likely playoff participant than Buffalo. The sad thing is, because of how weak the overall AFC East schedule block is, Buffalo has a great chance at making the playoffs if they have actually risen above mediocrity. Even more sad is this: The way the schedules line up, we could be looking at a "potential Super Bowl matchup" in week five if Buffalo heads into Phoenix with both the Bills and the Cardinals at 4-0 (which is not just possible, but likely).

Buffalo put a beat down on Seattle and then went into Jacksonville and won too. While I agree that it might be a bit early to consider them top 5...I think they're on their way. They should be 4-0 like you said headed into Arizona. They also have Miami (X2), Kansas City and San Francisco on their schedule. That should be 8 wins right there.

The Bills are solid all around and too me Fischer is one of the best in the league and Jarron is one of the most underrated! He pretty much put the Bears team together for Lovie to walk into.

NFC Cowboys Giants Green Bay Eagles Panthers Saints Bucs Skins AFC Steelers Colts Pats Bills Titans Broncos Jets Texans or Ravens It is closer than I thought. I think what kills the NFC is the terrible division with San Fran, St Louis, Seattle (really unhealthy) and Arz (Warner gives them a chance with the 2 stud wideouts but I'm not sold vs good competition).
September 17, 200818 yr I've heard a lot of analysts talk about this subject, i personally believe it's to early to say that the AFC is losing it's dominance. Although the NFC is looking sharp, the season is still young and a few AFC teams could get hot.

Get back to me in late October to know if things changed as much as they seem right now... :thumb: For the short term, as in the first two weeks of the season, the NFC looks better. But, as season progresses, I expect the AFC to return to form. Because of the salary cap, the balance of power in the NFL is always just an injury away from changing significantly. Regardless, I think it's much closer than before.
