Agreed. He played great against Lex Cath and was probably the reason they won, besides Pat VanSant's interception.

 

The reason CovCath won against lexcath was Brandon Brown's interception. I think Pat's interception came late in the 2nd or 3rd, while Brandon's came late in the 4th. Pat's int was a good play though. Bruner's best game was against Johnson Central and he was a strong reason why we won that game, and the fact that their fullback got hurt.

I know Scott has been winning games easily the first two weeks but they will run into a brickwall against Cov. Cath. Cov Cath by 21. I would love the Eagles to win this one but dont see it happening at all.

I think CCH will win. The big question is how good is Scott's running game and can CCH improve their running defense. If Scott contolls the ball and eats up clock anything can happen. Until CCH fixes their defense every game will be a big question mark.

Scott has played Walton-Verona and Dayton so far and their combined records are 1-5. Scott had a bye last week so they've had to two weeks to prepare for CovCath so there are no excuses for not being ready for them.

And in 95 Scott was up 17-0 at halftime :eek: I remember that game well.

With the way the CovCath D is playing, no game is a lock.

If Coach Campbell pounds the ball down Cov. Caths throat with Reyes and Bruner and the Eagles controll the clock, I think the Eagles have a shot. Look at what Dixie did last week and Reyes and Bruner are better than any player Dixie has!
