I look for Raceland to roll. Yes Fairview has a good team, but not the caliber of Raceland. These two teams will play again in the district. Fairview would have been down this year if it wasnt for the transfers. The score from Nicholas Co. would have been different if the Mynear kid doesnt go down at the end of the first quarter. After Nicholas lost him they werent the same team. I wish both good luck they have fine football teams and have good coaching staffs.

Raceland has to be the heavy favorite, but an Eagles win wouldn't be a huge upset.

You can throw out all the records in this game and nothing is predictable.

I have watched many games between these two teams and was fortunate to play in a few as well. The atmosphere at Mossy Bottom will be sky high.

 

Fairview has some talented athletes and in thier first few games have shown the ability to put the ball in the end zone.

Their QB has played very well and given them a nice lift with his ability to run the ball. This week however, I think we see the Eagles go to the air more in this one. Their WR's can pose problems with their speed & height.

 

Raceland is a very talented football team and do many things well on both sides of the ball. Their combo of the DC Express is as good as any RB tandem anywhere. T. Boyles is one of the most cerebral QB's I have seen at the high school level and his ability to lead is a big bonus. The Rams WR's have also shown they can make big plays and the o-line has played well all season.

Raceland also plays physical on the defensive side of the ball and must do so in this game as well.

 

This one stays close early but the Rams close the deal with a team effort on both sides of the ball.

Every offense is predictable, I can tell you right now Raceland is going to hand it to Carver and Denton. Just like Fairview will tell you they are going to run Shelton and Jones. No offense RamCat as I think Raceland will win, but especially in high school all offenses are predictable. Fairview is averaging over 30 points a game so they must be doing something right.

 

If I am not mistaken, yes there is most certainly an offense or they wouldnt be that kind of points. I personally take my hat off to the defense. I have seen more than one Raceland team win a ballgame with their defense. Sometimes the defense are out there what seems to be the entire ballgame. You know every once in awhile that offense cant be predicted I am sure there are more but sometimes your defense makes the offensive plays. Example: Robbie Logan and Clint Thompson

These shutouts came against two teams who have scored a combined total of 32 pts. One has scored 7pts while the other has scored 25. The defense of these two teams also have given up 188 total pts.

 

Tough to make a prediction based on shutouts with the opponent putting up stats like these.

Fairview is much better than people expected but I am taking Raceland 21-7.
