Notre Dame 21 San Diego St. 13

It a shame that the San Diego State program has dropped so much that they could not even win this game.

Hopefully the refs will be better in the next game, if this happens Michigan will dance to the win.

Heat that seat up!!! Bye Bye CW.

How can a team with the presteige of ND, and not to mention the recruits they have, not field a better team than that. Looks like another 3-9.

This should be the first season in which the recruits should be making plays. Needless to say, that was a pitiful performance.

They are absolutely terrible up front, on both sides of the ball.

Yeah the D line was horrible.

John Ryan (#90) might be the worst college football player in the country. He stands straight up like he is in high school.

I agree, they were actually ready to disband the football program recently. I still remember watching Faulk tear it up back in my college years. Did I hear that they lost to Cal SLO prior to this game?

Just some food for thought , from an optimist obviously!

Teams ALWAYS overlook SDSU.

In 2003 against OSU beat SDSU 16-13. OSU finished that year 11-2. SDSU finished 6-6. (OSU had a total of 196 yards offense, 2 turnovers and was 1 for 10 on 3rd downs.)

In 2004 they lost to Michigan 24-21. Michigan finished 9-3 that year. SDSU finished 4-7

In 2005 they lost to OSU 27-6. OSU won the Fiesta Bowl. SDSU finished 5-7

In 2006 they lost to Wisconsin 14-0. in 2006 Wisconsion went 12-1. SDSU finished 3-9

My point is, just because we only won by 8 doesnt mean we are in for a bad year, though it's still very possible. I'm much less optimistic today.

After wading through the negatives, I did find a few positves. Clausens arm is finally healthy and he answered the strength and velocity questions. Both INT's were receivers faults, and one should have been a TD. Next time, please turn your head back when you see the DB looking to catch a ball!!They're still very young, with over 75% of the two deep being true FR and true SO.

The coaching leaves a lot to be desired. CW didn't call any plays in this game, but it didn't look much different from last year, other than receivers did catch some balls.

I disagree. The first pick hit the receiver in stride in the hands and was tipped back to a safety. The one in the end zone, I don't think that ball should have ever been thrown, although the receive could have done a better job of turning into a DB at that point, I put that one on Clausen. But overall Clausen looked much improved from last season.

Clausen needs to cut his hair so he can see his receivers. As a ND loyalist he embarrasses me with his hair.

Nice to see I am not the only one annoyed by it!

Not only that but has anyone else noticed that he is only growing it like that to hide the fact that he is going bald? His hairline is wayyy up into the middle of his head on the sides. His brother Casey did something similar while at UT when he tried to spike his to hide it, seems to be a "pattern" with the Clausen brothers. Of course Jeff Samardzija had some pretty unruly hair while at ND too.

The hair looks rediculous, Claussen do your self a favor and get it cut.

Do you know who has a nice haircut? Dayne Crist.

Charlie's seat just got a little bit hotter.

What can they do with him? They signed him to a 10 year contract when he got the job. They practically deeded over the campus to him. A buy-out of his contract would be astronomical in terms of dollars!:thumb:
