September 5, 200818 yr So the question is, is Vanderbilt better than we thought or is USC worse? Maybe both?
September 5, 200818 yr South Carolina is worse, Vandy will probably finish this year 4-8 or 5-7. Although a few upset and they are 6-6 with a bowl game while someone like UK or Ole Miss stays home because of the Dores. No matter what though 6-6 or not Vandy will give a lot of teams headaches this year and have some close losses.
September 5, 200818 yr Both IMO. South Carolina has not impressed me at all the last two weeks especially on offense. I thought it was pretty cool that Vandy lined up and crammed it down their throat to finish the game out. I'm kicking myself for not betting on Vandy. I liked them a lot in this game with the points.
September 5, 200818 yr I never thought USC was impressive in either game. I picked UK over them but really felt good about it after watching them play NC ST. However, I have to start questioning my prediction of UK over Vandy now.

If you think about it too USC's best game last year was UK after that it was all down hill for them and before that they really hadn't beaten anyone of significant note that I can remember.
September 5, 200818 yr Anyone know if John Cole from Somerset got any action tonight? I didn't see him but I didn't pay attention to every receiver Vandy sent out.
September 5, 200818 yr I guess the ole ball coach won't win the National Championship this year. ***As for John Cole, I don't see his name in the box score. So if he did play he didn't make a catch or have a ball thrown to him.

He has cartilege damage in one of his knees and the coach elected not to play him for the rest of the year and use this as a redshirt season.

September 5, 200818 yr I dont think that USC is as good as they were cracked up to be but, Im telling you, Vandy has a heckuva nice team. Ive watched them in their first 2 games and they are solid. They will give a lot of the big boys fits this season. They are very good defensively and they have some weapons on offense. I love SEC football.
September 5, 200818 yr South Carolina,. Tennessee, and Kentucky seem to be competing to see who has the most inept QB running their offense. Beecher was awful last week for SC, last night Smelley wasn't much better.
