September 5, 200818 yr I really really hope they trade him to a team that already has an 85 on their team. I'm pretty sure that's what JA was saying...
September 5, 200818 yr It just went across the bottom of the screen on ESPN, "Ocho Cinco" will ACTUALLY be on the back of his jersey Sunday!!! Well Im pretty sure it would have too. If it said Johnson on the back then I think he would be getting fined.
September 5, 200818 yr Wow... just checked my fantasy lineup.. the guy I am playing has Chad... and it says on Yahoo.... Chad Ocho Cinco.... thats great!
September 5, 200818 yr Author The thing is, he didn't even translate right. That Literally means Chad Eight Five. It should be Chad Ochenta y Cinco.
September 5, 200818 yr The thing is, he didn't even translate right. That Literally means Chad Eight Five. It should be Chad Ochenta y Cinco. I think he realizes that, it's part of joke.
September 5, 200818 yr Author I think he realizes that, it's part of joke. I have an idea... how about Mike Brown lets it be someone else's joke!
September 5, 200818 yr Players get a cut of jersey sales, and as someone alluded to, this marketing strategy will get Ocho Johnson top dollar this season.
September 5, 200818 yr While I agree it is a brilliant marketing move, I cannot help but feel sorry for Mr. Ocho Cinco. He has literally become his alter-ego, which is scary.
September 5, 200818 yr He should've had a press conference and "retired" as Chad Johnson. He could've then come back into the league as Chad Bipolar...errrr Ocho Cinco...
September 5, 200818 yr He should've had a press conference and "retired" as Chad Johnson. He could've then come back into the league as Chad Bipolar...errrr Ocho Cinco... Nice :laugh::laugh: And I say to him...no hablo espanol! Maybe he was that "He hate me" guy too.
September 5, 200818 yr Who will ACTUALLY refer to him as Chad Ocho Cinco. I am making this thread because I saw a headline in my paper that had the title "Chad Ocho Cinco!" I REFUSE! :thumb: His name is Chad Johnson, or as I refer to him....#85. Just like Muhamand Ali, his name is Cassius Clay and Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Lew Alcindor, Boxer Marvin Haggler is his name...not "Marvelous" Marvin Haggler (yes, he officially had it changed to that). I will say though that Clay and Alcindor did appear to change theirs for reasons other than arrogant marketing ploys. Edited September 5, 200818 yr by oldrambler
