The Bears should have a pretty good showing against LC. They scored 32 on Letcher Central. Coach Larkey will have some kinks worked out so I look for for a more productive game with less mistakes on Harlan County's side. Don't know enough about LC to really predict a score, but how does anyone ever decide on a score anyway. So heres my guess;

They better come out with something to prove. I'm afraid with all this peace, love, and unity that we've all been preaching thru this consolidation process, they are lacking the enthusiasm and fire that drives them. The need to get mad about it.:fight:

I listened on the radio, so I didn't see the game, but I got the impression that the guys got a little tired earlier than expected in the 3rd quarter, then woke up, can't do that against a Letcher. Overall sounded like a good 1st outing. As for depth, I'm not sure all the comments about depth are really accurate in some positions. I know Roberts plays both ways, anyone know who else does. Its surprising that anyone would have to, but I would guess its more about who learns the new system quicker than pure athleticism at this point. Again, I was surprised how well this team did, and they should be proud of not quitting.

Oh, and I doubt LC can handle the Bears. I'd say Bears by 3-4 touchdowns

Coach Larkey will no doubt have our boys ready for this one. They could have hung their heads when LCC got ahead and showed heart fighting to the end. I guess what I'm talking about is, I'd like to see just a tad bit more FIRE. They did seem a little worn toward the end, but they were battling a very very good LCC team and I mean it was a battle. Two or three weeks into the season this game may have had a different outcome. As for next Friday, I think Lynn Camp won't know what hit them. This won't be a walk in the park, but I think that we Harlan County fans will get to see what we've been looking for!!

 

I can think of three or four kids right off hand that play both sides of the ball. I'd say this week in practice that if there are any boys wanting a little more playing time, then this week may be the time to show their stuff and throw down! The Bears are in shape, so I don't know exactly what the problem was. Whatever it is, our coaching staff will fix it!:thumb: GO BLACK BEARS!

To much depth for Haran Co. LC will put up a fight but could go down quick if they get behind by two or more touchdowns. I hope the cats can pull it off, but not likely. HC 36

I'm really not worried about numbers. (If we worried about numbers over here, we would never play football. We are almost always outnumbered.) As far as knowing what hit us, we are well aware of what Harlan Co. has and how Larkey coaches, Mama Bear.

Our execution, patience and D are what have me concerned with the Bears. I think this could be a good game.

(Bears appear to have almost as many going both ways as we do, numbers or not.)

Best of luck to your team DADDY CAT. I'm hoping, as you are, to see a good game of mountain football. We appreciate Lynn Camp for even playing. Games this year have been difficult to come by. It speaks volumes of your coach and team for playing a much larger school. I hope both teams play to their full potential and everyone stays healthy!!!! Don't thank us too much just yet. Dave would play the Packers if they rolled in and wanted a game. I would say he'll keep you on the schedule as long as he can!!!!

I do not know what to expect this game. If our offense sputters like it did last week we could be in trouble. We turned the ball over a few times and I have a feeling if we do that this week we will be in trouble. Hopefully our defense can pick up where it left off last week and our offense can build some momentum.

 

I think the odds are in favor of Harlan County but we are usually the under dog anyway. Hopefully Harlan County can pick up that 1st win week #3.
