But I think you should have thoroughly researched all the angles and subtleties...just to be complete.

AK is a large state in land mass alone. The population of AK is ~670K. Heck, Chicago has almost 3M. Louisville has almost the same population as the entire state of Alaska! I think that equating being the governor of Alaska to the Vice-Presidency of the US is stretching it.

I think the major things that need to be done are to reduce our crazy spending, and to eliminate numerous of the unnecessary government programs. I'm 99.9999% sure that those things won't happen under Obama. Under McCain, maybe, maybe not. I also am fairly certain my taxes will go up under Obama, while they will stay lower if McCain is in office.

I travel all over this country and see good and bad every where. Conservatives and liberals are struggling, just as some od each group are thriving. Always been that way, always will. If you want to bring this to a personal level mentioning your own family, I will mention mine. During the Clinton years, my wife and I struggled greatly. The Bush tax cuts made a huge difference in my personal finanances. I now work in the same industry as I have the past 15 years. Only now, I drive a 1 year old truck, wife has an '08 SUV (that's right, I said SUV), live in and own a house that is 6 years old, and most importantly, have money left over every month. This didn't happen during the Clinton years, and I shudder to think what will happen if Obama is elected. I am a better steward of my money than the gov't, and I appreciate that Bush thinks the same. I don't think he has made every decision correctly, his tax plan has been spot on for me and my family.

Just as your life is better now, my life and my family's life (financially) was better under the Clinton administration.

 

I think you hit a good point, there will always be some people struggling and some people who are okay. But I, for one, will always associate us doing good financially with the Clinton years, and struggling financially under this Bush administration.

Yes...the Obama supporters. The issue of the inexperience being at the top of the Democratic ticket is only brought up as a response to their own allegations about Sarah Palin.

If you're struggling, it certainly isn't George Bush's fault. If you want to shift blame, start with the Democratic controlled Congress.
